      I agree with Barns.. confining yourself to your room seems like punishment and may actually be hindering your efforts. Get out of your room and explore your lucidity (control is just one aspect of it).

      well I've had countless lucids that dont involve my room and I find that I have less control and lose lucidity quicker when I'm in a larger area. I think its because theres just too many distractions and other things around me to focus on and literally in a matter of seconds I'll just be an observer instead of the actor of the dream. The bigger my surroundings the less I actively control...

      I figured by leaving myself in my room, a familiar place that is much smaller I can focus on it until it becomes extremely vivid and then play with stuff like manipulating objects, having random DC's come knock on my door and come in.. basically experiment till I'm ready to move on.

      All of my lucid's where I walk out my bedroom I notice myself instantly losing some control and becoming more of an observer the farther I go...
