Exclamation Wierd thing happened while going through window.

In the middle of a dream i went lucid (dunno how) so i thought "WOOHOO!!! time to try some stuff out" so i went up to my bedroom mirror and started talking to my reflection (that was kinda funny) then i thought "how about i try goin through the window!" so i rested my fingers against the glass and sure enough they went through. so as i was going through i realised i had to concentrate alot. i pulled myself back into my room and tryed again. this time when my fingers were halfway through i lost concentration and the glass tightened around my fingers as it turned back to solid. i couldnt pull them out but i managed to in the end (it hurt )

(just as a side note my arm really ached when i woke up)

But i was just wondering, has this happened to anyone else before? the glass tightening thing? if not see if it works when you try it. its a really wierd sensation

No, I have not had the glass tightening thing but I have felt hurt after something happened in my dream. From my dream journal:
I had a small dream in the morning about my mom going into a downhill driveway and then the car flipped over and I broke my neck or something like that and it cracked. The weird thing was that my neck hurt after I woke up.

The first few times I tried to go thru glass it stretched like thin plastic, but was unbreakable. Very annoying.

Just keep trying. I can get thru it now every time, and have recently developed the ability to go thru doors. Closed ones, I mean.

i once got thrown through a window with my back going through first. when i woke up, i had a dull ache in my back.
I need my sleep. I need about eight hours a day, and about ten at night.

Going through solid objects is very unpredictable for me. If you get stuck though, the trick is to relax and be confident that you can resolve the problem. Panicing or focusing on pain will only exacerbate the problem.

Sorry, I just HAVE to do this:

      Liz: Shaun?
      Shaun: Yeah?
Liz: You see what I'm saying?
      Shaun: Yep, totally.
Liz: I know he's your best friend, but you do live with him.
      Shaun: I know.
Liz: It's not that I don't like Ed.
[Looks over at Ed who is playing an arcade game]
Liz: Ed, it's not that I don't like you.
      Ed: It's alright.
Liz: It would just be nice if we could spend a bit more time together, just the two of us. It's just with Ed here, it's no wonder I want to bring my flat mates out and then that only exacerbates things.
      Shaun: What do you mean?
Liz: Well you guys hardly get on, do you?
Shaun: No, what does exacerbate mean?
Liz: It means um, to make things worse.

A "memorable quote" from: Shaun of the Dead

      Sorry

Anyway, I have little experience with going through mirrors or glass. And the little experience I've had so far has made me a bit... fearful of experimenting with such objects. Plenty of other stuff to do. I'm not a big fan of walking through portals anyway.

Passing through solid barriers is pretty unpredictable for me as well. Sometimes I will pass through a window with zero resistance, while other times it will stretch and resist me as other people described; however, if I persist it will usually let me through eventually. A few times I've noticed when I got to the window that while it had shades and/or curtains, the actual glass was simply missing! Passing through walls or doors can be comical. I usually take a running start, and sometimes I pass right through into a new dream scene, while other times I simply smack into the wall. It's about 50/50. One thing that I have never experienced though is a barrier suddenly turning back to solid while I was passing through it!

I love going through windows and mirrors.

I don't think I"ve ever gotten stuck like you described but there were a few times I had a hard time pushing through. And liek Clairity... I have bounced off walls. I've also smashed my head off of doors and windows trying to ghost through them and feel like an idiot each time.

(in dream... not in real life )

      Haha.

Yeah, this reminds me of a "semi-lucid" kind of dream.

I was in a nightmare surrounded by zombies. I randomly became lucid, but couldn't make the zombies go away. So I tell myself "When I turn around there'll be a mirror". Then I turn around, start running and throw myself into the mirror. But about halfway through I go "Wait! I forgot to tell the mirror where to take me" and right there the mirror turns solid and i'm stuck. Eventually the zombies catch up and start pulling my legs, at which point I wake up ...
