      1st experience

      Hey I'm new here...

I had my first experience being in control of my dream briefly the other night. I've always wanted to be able to control atleast parts of it but never realized it was a dream.

I never really tried specifically to teach myself how or anything, it just sort of happened and now I'm interested in having this happen more often.

One thing I've noticed is on occasion I have difficulty moving. Usually if I'm upset about something in the dream, like if im mad at someone, or even if I'm scared of something.

Well in this particular dream I was trying to hide from someone, I didn't want them to see me. And I was trying to run up this big hill, through snow, and It was hard to move. I could see the truck on the top of the hill that I was trying to reach but I just couldn't get to it. It then hit me that it was a dream and I said to myself "If this is a dream I should be able to warp to the truck" and after a few seconds nothing happened, then all of a sudden I was next to the truck. After that, being "concious" in the dream, isntantly faded away.

Well that was my first experience with that happening, and im intrigued about having this happen more often, and last longer. I have always remembered my dreams pretty often, and especially the last few months I remember them almost every night, atleast shortly after I wake up.

      Just thought id share

You'll be able to warp to places in time, you just need practice.

Just curious, what induction technique id you do?

I have these kinds of dreams all the time, but they are not LDs even
tho i know what i want to do, they are just not LDs. Very often i find
myself trying to run away from something but i cant run or i run in slow
motion and i know the thing is gaining on me and then if there is no way
      out i wake up.
But in lds this kind of thing never happens to me because i control them
and nothing would be able to chase me in an ld in the first place. Nothing
bothers me at all in my LDs. I just fly around and explore and do what i
want. NOthing at all happens that i dont wish to happen. I mean the odd
thing might walk past me or appear, but i just look at it and carry on.
I have never ever created a nightmare into my LDs! That just wouldnt be
      fun!

Well I was able to warp to the truck... but I was only aware I was dreaming for a few moments, basically enough to warp to the truck, and then it was back to my dream, and not being "in control".

I didn't use any technique, what made me realize it was a dream, I believe was the fact that I was having difficulty moving. That's something I encounter somewhat often in dreams.

This was the first time I was ever aware I was dreaming, and the only time. Hoping I can have it happen more often and work on being in control of whats going on.
