Thread: Different powers to try?

i had a ld this morning and tryed telekinis and i failed it so i tryed energy balls i made them but i couldnt aim with it, it just randomly flew off in a direction lol

It's nice to expand your dream powers, but I find it efficient to use sets of dream powers that revolve around themes. Some powers can be energy based (fireballs, energy swords, laser beams), reality manipulation based (time control, telekinesis, reality warping), based on yourself (shapeshifting, super-strength, teleportation), and many other sets exist. To start off and not go crazy with your dream powers, think of your favorites, then go with those till you find something else worthy of trying in your lucids.

You risk trying everything and not knowing what exactly you want to do anymore. At least, that's how I feel about it.

My favorite is shapeshifting. It is such an exhilarating experience, feeling your body change into some sort of powerful creature. It is also a fun way to work on dissolving your ego.

I tried shooting energy balls out of my palm last night and my accuracy wasn't too good either. I then tried charging up my arm to shoot a beam, and it was much straighter

When it comes to energy balls, I prefer to throw them.

If you shoot them out of your hands, they seem to take an odd path, atleast with me anyway.

But if I make one, hold it in my hand, and pitch it, I'm much more accurate.

I actually had a pretty good run of LD's the last 2 nights (like 2 1 night and 4 the next w/DEILD) where I got a chance to test out a few more powers.

I managed 2 walk through several walls (actually wasn't really hard, I just had never tried), I summoned a person by calling out for them to appear (Cupid for TotM), & I was able to twist and manipulate the shape of a DC's body by telekinetically using my hands to bend them to different shapes. (I also telikinetically severed a DC's foot )

For some reason my teleportation was off last night though. I would do like I had in the past and close my eyes and picture where I want to go to. I would even feel like I was teleporting (even hearing the sound I usually hear when I do), but when I opened my eyes again afterwords I was right where I had been.

I was able to work around it by calling out to summon portals to the location I wanted to go to and then jumping through them to get there, but it still seems odd I couldn't teleport like normal. (Also I still can't seem to manage to summon objects into my hands)

i have trouble summoning people or objects out of nowhere, but i can change objects into different things, i remember once i stared at a DC and concentrated, and i turned him into a floating hotdog

hey maybe imagine different dc's have different powers and go on absorbing all of them? Maybe then you can get a pretty cool set of powers easily. Then spawn an army of yours and have them fight the infinite army youre facing?

Since you are new to this, dont try to force control at once, or your dream will fade quickly, it will feel unrealistic. Try passive control

Example of force control: You are super strong because you want to.
Example of passive control: You got bitten by a magical snake that makes you super strong.

Yes. You could try reading peoples minds like Matt 'PARKMAN' from NBCs TV show, Heroes. Sorry - I can't help being a panickity twat.

I haven't had a Lucid dream yet, but being a big fan of Heroes has given me a lot of dream targets to achieve when I do have one. I want to try all of the abilities in Heroes: shooting flames from my hands, shooting electricity from my hands, telekinesis, super strenght, space-time manipulation, freezing, and not to mention flying.
