Having trouble getting out of bed...

Like the title says I'm having trouble getting out of bed during LDs, I have tried rolling over, floating , sinking in the bed(that only made it worse).
Very few things have worked such as asking help from DCs, in one occasion i grab the hand of the DC and he sunk in the bed... I also said very loud "Take me to _____!!" and sometimes it works and other times i just remain glued to my bed.

My last LDs were on 06/07/09, 06/08/09, 06/10,09 , the last two i manage to reenter them as soon as i got out, just to land in the same situation.

Very few occasions i have LDs that start in a landscape most of them start where I induce the LD.

So if you have any suggestions please let me know

Hm, maybe if you made a rope appear on the ceiling above your bed, and you used it to pull yourself to your feet.

You could also try dream spinning, though that may be difficult while lying down.

I remember seeing a thread saying that a guy could not move in lucid dreams because he stuck staring at a wall.

Is getting stuck like this is common in lucid dreams? I had a few lucid dreams myself but I never had any problem moving my body in them, then again I became lucid later in the game and not at the start of it.

Also you could do a search for that wall thread as it pretty new and see if anyone have already thought of a solution that would work here to.

I tried it once, for some reason when the rope appeared I couldn't grab it.
I usually do a RC before moving. I'll give it another go next time i get a LD. I've been lucky this month

So i had a LD today (06/14/09) and manage to get out of bed by blinking. I also use rubbing hands and some RC prior to getting out bed.

Something interesting happened too, when rubbing hands didn't work anymore I started rubbing my right foot against my left leg and it gave me the same result as rubbing hands.

I couldn't give the rope a try... also blinking felt weird, I felt disoriented after using it.

Flood the room and swim out. Not like you could drown. Punch the wall and "let" there be a water pipe there. I guessing you have your bed against a wall like most people.

Everybody else seems to be suggesting temporary solutions to a permanent problem. The reason you can't move is because you know you can't move. Have you ever seen the Matrix? There's a famous quote "Don't think you can, know you can". It works both ways. If you know that you can't move in a LD, then you won't be able to move. You have to know that you no longer have a problem with it, and you won't.

I am still having this problem... I was very well aware that i was dreaming, but i couldn't move at all. I even said to myself I was in control and I was going to be able to walk and nothing happened. It's so annoying a good 90% of my experiences have been ruin because I can't move.

Branching of the rope idea instead of trying to grab it have it be tied around your leg and drag you off the bed. Or close your eyes and change the dream scene to one where you're standing elsewhere.

      And 34 wilds!???? nice.

I don't count these as true lucids because they where not very clear, but until I have my first real lucid these will do.)

See the problem is that when this happens for some odd reason I can't summon anything and my body feels like it weights a ton...

Here is how it went down, I appear in the same spot laying down I was capable to look around with w/e field of vision I had and I knew i was dreaming. . I tried to move and my body just wouldn't respond , I tried blinking and nothing happened, I tried to summon someone by simply calling them and a voice of a women said " Don't make me do that"... I have a large window with thin curtains and It seem like someone was behind it and it was moving in a very creepy way, picture the women from chronicles of Riddick in the interrogation room that's how it looked anyway i got far too excited when i saw that and woke up...

I just came out a long ass dryspell and had LD today, well end up in the same situation lolz...

I don't know why my body weights so much in LDs is like I'm wearing something really heavy and I can't move at all....

I have tried about everything I read in forums...

I also manage to walk around for a bit, but for some reason the doors turn into paintings ... I did an experiment too I left one of my eyes open as I was going to sleep I think i close my eye eventually but it did change the way I saw things during a LD one of my eyes was very realistic and the other one was way colorful haha. I was so confused for a while

BELIEVE AND HAVE CONFIDENCE that you will get out of your bed. Expect to. This is the most important thing. Imagine the glue coming unstuck and you getting to your feet. Or imagine another place in your head with great detail and imagine being there.

So i finally overcame my OP problem , but whenever i manage to fully stand up and walk around the dream ends.... Today (11/27/09) I had two lucid dreams where I try rubbing my hands or spinning to prolong lucidity and neither work...

Is not that I am overly excited it just fades... I am absolutely calm during the whole process I recognize the moment when my body fully paralyzes etc...

      Any tips?

You need to adjust your mindset out of your bed (like at a park or somewere not in a bed unless....) anyway, so you wont have all this bed buisness.
