      Transforming

Mmm, I can fly, shoot fireballs, but I seem to have issues with transforming into anything... and I feel like it should be a fun thing to try! So...

Anyone got any good techniques they'd like to share for transforming in a LD?

      hmm
Maybe you should find a mirror and experiment with it.
Like stand in front of it, close your eyes and open them.
Once you open your eyes you will be transformed!

Using a mirror would definitely help, but I would think twice before closing your eyes. In my personal experience, closing my eyes in a lucid dream has resulted in loss of lucidity, or waking up.
Haven't had a lucid dream in 3 years, and I'm looking to get back into it.

      Perhaps covering your eyes instead

Well, I thinks it's the loss of imagery that does me no good.

Looking away from the mirror would be the brightest idea.

      Clever thinking, though.

      :bravo:

I did this in my first lucid dream. I went in my bathroom and stared at the mirror and kind of morphed into what I wanted to transform into. I remember feeling an odd physical sensation too, which is the first time I've ever really felt anything in a dream. My dreams are usually just visuals and sounds.

I hope to make my dreams as vivid as you all describe on here.

Practice while you are awake. Imagine what it would feel like to start running on all fours like a wolf or a horse. What would it feel like to sprout wings from your back? Imagine the scenario from your own point of view, feeling what is happening to your body. Don't just picture what it would look like.

I actually had a non-lucid where I was a wolf. Two actually. You can run DAMN fast!

I was thinking more like using other people's looks as a disguise similiarly to the [PROTOTYPE] Game... to add a little zest to my action/adventure dreams.

Oh, that would be even cooler. I don't really even know what I look like in my dreams. It never feels too constant. My perception of my own age fluxuates a lot. Have you ever looked in a mirror while lucid? It can be weird.

I haven't done it yet, but I do have a plan for transforming when I get a chance to try it.
As many of my dreams are third person view anyway, I'll leave my body and face myself, then transform the body to whatever I want, and step back into it once I've achieved my desired form. As I said it's untested but it's worth a shot.
