This is a very interesting idea.
You should note that, since you mention neurology in your title, that neurology shows that audio is still a very receptive sense in your sleep. It might be a good idea to keep a shuffle playlist on while you sleep to help influence your mind about songs you may not be thinking about.
Also, the shifting music would help function as a dream indicator (ie. "The songs keeping changing... ohhh, I'm dreaming").
