It worked! but it faded too quickly...

So I have had lots of lucid dreams in the past, but all of them have been DILD's. I recently decided to try a music induced lucid dream to see if it would work. I doubted that it would but I woke up at about 4:00 am and turned on the lucid dream mp3 I downloaded. I fell asleep back into the previous dream I was in, but I became lucid.

I grabbed hold of the fox that was in my dream ( I was dreaming I was being chased by animals ) and held it by the neck but then everything started fading. It was like the scene was being washed away.

Suddenly I remembered what Leberge said in his book (exploring the world of lucid dreaming) to do if that happens which is to spin around in a circle quickly. I did so as fast as I could and regained lucidity for a brief moment, but lost it and woke up.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep it from fading other than spinning?

Also does anyone else use music for lucid dreams? Got any tips?

I think this is where I got the Lucid Dreaming MP3. But I'm not sure.

But a very strong technique to stabilize or try and stay lucid is rubbing your hands together. Just try rubbing them, and stay calm. Also!.. Try touching other things around you, that should also stabilize your lucid dream.

      Good luck!

The one that worked for me is Really's music induction mp3 found here:

Here is the direct link to the file he uploaded:

      @ Motumz:
thanks I'll give that a shot, I am usually good at not letting myself slip out of dreams I just got too excited this time because the mp3 worked I guess. Thanks for the help.

Maybe because you were doubtful that it would work, you got too excited when it did work, and that interrupted your lucid?

I used to use music for LD's years ago (now I'm just building up my dream recall), the Holo-Sync and Hemi-Sync series and other binaural stuff worked well, and shamanic drumming with callbacks were also very good. I think back then it was more about not being able to fall asleep without music. I haven't tried music yet but I definitely will once it is time again. I also made some binaural music with brainwave generators and such but I've lost those a long time ago. Maybe it's time to try that again also, now that I've become better at making music too

( ) Enhance my dream recall significantly
( ) Increase the number of dreams I remember each night
( ) Have lucid dreams once again
