My wife and I went on a vaction trip accross the country just a couple yrs. ago, to
an area of the country that neither of us had ever been to before.
It was a restaurant, and lodge and it was located near a big tourist attraction.
We had dinner there the night we arrived and we anticipated a very interesting visit.
That night I dreamed about the place where we were staying and about the man who
many years before had purchased it and in time had made a success of it.
Evidently in the dream it was all set in the '30s or '40s, and the man who dreamed of
buying it was young and smart, but had no money to speak of. He had ideas of what he
would do with a place like that, and one day another man who did not know him
enough to even say hello to him...loaned him the money to purchase it. At first it
was touch and go but in time it became a big success and still was. The man in the
dream looked very much like the head waiter that we had met in the place the night before.
His son, I wondered?
In the morning I told my wife about the dream and she told me that she could not sleep well
the night before and had read the brief history of the inn that was included in a booklet
about the inn's available services. Part of it, the part about the original owner sounded
very much like what was in my dream. I was surprised, and wanted to talk to the inn's
manger while there, but I didn't. I really thought that he would think that I
was "flipped out" for thinking that dreams could have a connection to reality.
But I know that sometimes they do, and perhaps you aggree with me.
