Thread: Light door, red cat, medal with ribbon

Hi,

I´m new here but I´ve had a weird dream experience which I don´t just want to let go. I will include as much as I remember, but my rememberances are flawed. If some words don´t make sense please ask since English is not my mother tongue.

Firstly I will openly admit that I had smoked marijuana that evening. I don´t feel like withholding that and I only can assure you from my personal experience that this does not distort my experience when it comes to dreams, it seems to break some dams for me. If you don´t believe me please don´t argue about that, just leave this thread be.
I´m 21 and currently in something an acquaintance referred to as metaphysical phase.. which seems true since I cannot help but doubt pretty much... anything and try to get a sense of something greater, well, metaphysical
I am "fluctuating" between love and hate for this world and generally I have a urge of "wanting out". However I would not kill myself and I´m not "depressed" per se... it´s just tearing me up how things don´t make sense. Don´t really knowing who I am etc, I just yearn for clearity and truth.

Now on to the dreams:

Firstly I just closed my eyes and saw something without sleeping, which only happens to me when I have smoked(why I´ve mentioned it before).

It was blackness all around, the normal state when I close my eyes. In that darkness a door appeared. The color of the door was black and it was opened halfways, and out of that door came bright light. A black hand was pointing to the door, directly from my point of view, as if it were my hand but it sure wasn´t.

I´ve recently read about a theory that after your death you "choose" between doors, a door leading to light(good) and one to darkness(evil) but that there is a third door, leading out of the duality and to God, or for the Buddhists out of the cycle of reincarnation etc.
Just thinking about it I prefer the third door, obviously, so I´m confused about that dream.

Then the real dreams begin, but they started in a weird fashion- when I closed my eyes I had that feeling of force, the darkness felt like an amboss crushing down. I can´t describe it any better, I can barely recall it. I also remember hearing a loud sound which did at no chance come from outside but I´m SURE I was not yet asleep!
The first dream I remember: I´ve been in my room, laying on my bed. Suddenly a gold medal with a blue and ????????(I think maybe white) coloured ribbon was just flying up from, well, "inside me". It just came out of me, flew to the ceiling, and fell back into me at which point I think I woke up.

I don´t feel any specific emotions about that dream. I don´t want to win any competition, I don´t feel bad for losing, nothing which would maybe come up as obvious.

Secondly I was also in my bed, sleeping. Then I awoke and a red cat was in my room, running around. I think I was a little shocked because I don´t have a cat. It ran under my bed. I had the urge to look under the bed and see if the cat was there, I think then I awoke again. I still had the urge to look under my bed because it felt so damn real, just like the other dream with the ribbon felt very real.

I´m certain I dreamt much more things that night but I can´t recall any of it. The only thing I´m quite sure of is that a snake was also involved at some point, but in a different dream.

Its´weird, I can´t make ANYTHING of this dreams but I´m certain there is a part of me that can and they somehow feel important.
