It means you are in love with your mother. |

It's true. No matter where I go or what I do in my dreams, I very rarely ever wear shoes. And I notice this in the dream and sometimes find it odd. Anyone have a theory as to what that might mean? Just for fun. |

It means you are in love with your mother. |

I can relate to that. |

"you will not transform this house of prayer into a house of thieves"
Hilariously enough, there have been public places in my dreams that I refused to walk through because I couldn't find my shoes. |
|
Symbolically, I would look for something like "not prepared for travel/journey" or something like that. I often find myself shoeless (or completely naked) in dreams and I'm torn between whether this is because I'm aware that I really do have no shoes on at the time I'm dreaming (few would) or if it's about being unprepared. |

Bu
Nonsense! If I were to have thrown shoes at George Bush, I would not have missed. I have to admit he is quicker than I would expect, though. |

Barefoot can mean you are totaly in touch with each step of your lifes path, well grounded, or respect for another person... like when Moses was told by God to remove his shoes because he was standing on holy ground. People remove their shoes so they don't track in dirt into someones home, this is out of respect...but you aren't being seen as removing your shoes so this is not likely. Going barefoot can represent poverty, sensual freedom, lack of suitable awareness, inappropriate bahavior, disrespect for authority. |
|
Walking around barefoot in a dream is a symbol for being without principles, and a moral foundation. Shoes in dreams represent our approach to life and how we choose get around it mentally and emotionally. If you have none it means there are issues in your waking life that you need to reconsider in manner with higher standards. It's definitely a message about a need for you to have more respect and to care more about other people. |
|
With all of the different variables, it would be up to the dreamer to see which symbolic meaning hints the right "nerve". |
