      Plane Crashes

Yes, I'm aware of this other similar thread to mine, however it seems to me that I have a different kind of issue with dreams involving planes falling down from the skies. Recently, I've been experiencing very peculiar and strangely vivid dreams in which I witness planes crashing, unable to help or change things. Usually, these events do not change the main plot of the dreams, but most of the times, when they happen, I have that feeling of 'wanting to act but not being capable of', which bothers me a lot. Seriously, I hate watching others getting hurt or about to die and doing nothing to help.
Anyway, as I can't stop them from recurring, is there any way I can understand why? Does anybody know if this has any significant meaning? ...Planes crashing down in dreams.

Could you be fearing that you are falling from grace, or from someones approval, or from a position/place of authority that you currently have...and there is nothing you can do about it? Does this resonate in your waking life?

The standard answer is that the plane is some aspiration or hope you have, and it's brought down to earth.

In my experience, though, it has more to do with giving up. I notice even in waking life that I resign myself to things going wrong all too easily, and the plane crash dream seems to echo this. After all it's the dreamer's plane and it's the dreamer that's crashing it. It's like I know it's going to crash and sure enough it does.

Maybe that's why flight sim games are so popular, and why we get frustrated about failing to land our plane safely.

Hm, I read something like this before, but I had not thought about this "someone's approval" factor. Actually it makes sense, yes.

Thank you for your replies, and for your time.

Just for the record, this also applies to me.

My face when I stop being supid-eyed and realize me and my girlfriend need to have a serious conversation after I found out the reason why my airplanes insist on crashing down.
