Thread: I had a dream that is 100% different from my normal dream patterns. I need some outside viewpoints.

First off I should say, I usually dream in a linear pattern, much like a story.

Last night, I was flashing in and out of many random places staying in one place for only a few minutes at most.

I saw that I was with people I didn't know, we were all frightened/panic stricken, about something, unknown to me, but it was something huge in the dreams universe.

Each group of people were completely different and equally as frightened. I was never myself in the locations, but my consciousness inhabited a local.

This continued for what felt like a long time, I was with many groups of people all trying to escape something.

The last thing that happened was a man stood before me face covered with shadows, no features visible, and said "Be in New Orleans December 24"

I have never been to Louisiana, I have no friends there, no family there, nothing.

It is unsettling to me because I felt ordered and compelled to go to New Orleans. Not to mention the fact that this dream was the opposite of my normal dreams. It wasn't a nightmare, I wasn't scared, I just felt like something important was happening.

Has anything like this happened to anyone else, or can anyone else shed any insight? I would appreciate it greatly.
