My dream:
part 1:
I was walking in a forest with a close friend of mine. She was walking ahead of me.. The trees were tall, coniferous trees, with long, slender trunks. There wasn't much light, as it was nighttime. I stopped to admire a spider's web, and I put my hand down next to it. While I was about to take a picture of it with my other hand, the spider on the web seized my hand and bit it really hard. It hurt... But it was ok, and I looked at the bite, there was a tiny prick hole there. I showed my friend Chelsea.
part 2:
I was at someones' house for a gathering... I don't remember much about the surroundings or anyone there.. All I remember is having to eat a frog with a large belly. It was really gross. I then saw a tank of water with giant sea snails in it. I thought to myself "I am not eating that". I didn't have to...
part 3:
It as night time. I was on the skytrain, holding a two year old boy, in a baby harness attached to me. It was my child in the dream.. The feeling was warmth, softness, and great love. I remember thinking/feeling, "I love this child more than anything", and "He is so special". I then met a group of people around their mid-twenties, (two male, two female I think) and I tagged along with them off the skytrain, to a house where I saw someone I know in real life (a close acquaintance). I gave him a hug, and the people I was with told him to meet us at a field somewhere, and they walked away and yelled for me to hurry up... Then we were at this field, where about eighty people were lined up in two rows facing each other. I had the notion that it was some kind of sport/protest event. I saw an ex-boyfriend* and his friend there, and me and the ex didn't make eye-contact or talk to each other. I said hi to the friend and gave him a hug. He said he saw me at another protest event. My child was on the ground beside me, next to someone else's child. I began playing the game... kicking a ball back and forth. I felt like I was too slow, and I couldn't stop the ball. (I don't know how this is related to a protest, but it some how was). An old art teacher of mine from high school was going around, handing out protective eye goggles. I decided to get a pair. I put them on and they were really big. I felt funny in them. I looked at my baby boy and I asked him if he liked them. He shook his head. Then, two native elders (a man and a woman) came by to give little white flowers to the two children. They said they were a symbol of childhood and innocence. My boy was sniffing them, and lightly nibbling it.
part 4:
The dream ended with what felt like I was watching a story as someone was telling me information... It was about a man. I saw his face- he looked part native american. He had scars on his face, and light brown hair. The story was about how he was in jail for possessing marajuana, and people were protesting that he be let out. It was about his son, and how his little boy was doing far better than anyone else in school. How the man was a good parent, so the drugs did not affect him negatively. There was an image of the little boy in a giant field of grass. He was mowing the lawn. He was a gifted child... probably about 3 or 4 years old.
Some background info:
*The close friend of mine: She is the same age as me, and she's my best friend/soul mate. We've known each other for years.
*The boyfriend.. We've just recently mutually decided to go seperate ways and not be friends for a while until we figure out how we can relate that way.
*I have been involved in protests lately at occupy vancouver.
*I don't actually have a child in real life
*something I've been worrying about lately: I have a health concern related to sexuality and fertility... and a slight concern that I may be pregnant.
*I'm currently trying to decide what I want to do with my life... I need to make a choice, to start creating my dream, so that I can grow into the independent, expansive being which I desire to be. Right now, I'm living with my parents (I'm 21, and have been traveling for the past year). I have some doubts about being able to do what I want to do, but I'm committed to making it happen (whatever it is ).
That's a lot of information for interpretation! If anyone feels like providing any insight into the meaning of the dream, I would be very grateful! Thank you
