Help! (Dreaming of babies and children being slaughtered)

Ok I'm new to this so bare with me... I've been having these disturbing, terrifying dreams about babies and young children getting decapitated and just slaughtered. My 5 year old daughter is in some of them but I can't remember if she's getting killed in them. I remember extremely little and my memory of these dreams are very vague. All I can remember is that particular scenery, I can't remember who exactly would do the killing or what, I do remember a black shadow somewhere in the dreams. Also when i run to try to save them it's like a slow motion movie. I feel stuck, like I'm moving but everything else around me is moving faster... I need help defining this horrific nightmare.

Ps. I am trying to get pregnant... Idk if that has anything to do with th dream but just thought I'd throw that out there.

Ok first, understand that this is a very common type of dream and it generally doesn't mean what people think it does. Babies in dreams usually represent new ideas, potential for change, or something similar - essentially every character in a dream represents some part of the dreamer or some aspect of his life. I remember reading about a woman who had almost exactly the same dreams, and it turns out the babies represented ideas she was killing off. She was writing a novel and each day she would scribble down some ideas and then often end up discarding them because they didn't quite work with the rest of the story, and her mind was lamenting because in their own right the were all excellent ideas, so she felt terrible for discarding them and essentially 'killing' them. Since she had a little girl of her own she was unable to see this until a dream interpreter pointed it out to her - she of course thought they were about some evil impulses in herself telling her to murder her own child or something, and was understandably stressed out about it! Is there any similar situation in your life - any potentials that maybe you're shutting down? Or allowing to get shut down (moving too slowly to stop it perhaps?) Decapitation seems to point toward thoughts or ideas,though you also said slaughtered, so that isn't necessarily the case. ** edit ** I just saw you second post. It most likely is about your trying to get pregnant, but I'd recommend you consider other possibilities too. Maybe the thought that having another child would kill off certain potentials in your life?
