Thread: Prevailing themes in my dreams

I have a few themes that always come up in my dreams and I thought I would share them with you guys/girls and see what ya think. I guess I will start with the one I have the most.

So I have a pretty consistent zombie theme in my dreams. There have been times were I have only remembered having dreams with zombies. More interesting is that there are a few constants I find with all my zombie dreams.(Most of the time anyway) The zombies are never a surprise, I always no there around. They are also never a immediate threat. There always outside of the building I'm in, on the other side of a secure door, not near by, or simply just far enough away there not interested in me. (Normally a half block is safe in my dreams). Another constant is I'm always on my own, there may be other people around but we almost always are split up for the moment.(Actually shit always goes down if I'm in a group) The last constant is I'm always wondering about, often with no goal just walking around.

I've had dreams with these trends for years now and I have them quite often still, weekly almost. Was wondering if anyone may have an opinion of what this may be about.

I haven't see any opinions on my zombie themed dreams so I will go to another theme I have, though I have not had this one in a little while, but before I go into it I need to explain a dream that started the trend.

I had a dream were I was sitting in front of my computer about to download some random thing. For some reason I felt there was something that didn't want me to do this. Being me, I was thinking "fuck this thing I will do what I want!" and I start the download. Bam! suddenly there's this incredible banshee screeching noise, blackness every were, and this scary ghostly white face in front of me and then I'm awake. Turns out the fan I had running next to me was just busted but man did that scare the crap out of me. Ok now after that I had a long series of dreams related to this dream.

I would always have this dream were I was just laying in my bed at night having waking up from sleep, everything normal as always. However I have this incredible urge to scream like the banshee scream in my head (that is to strongly think of the banshees scream). I try not to but eventually the urge is to strong and just have to scream in my head. Then Bam! Somethings in my room and on top off me in a slip second, an invisible force pinning me down and leaving me paralyzed. I would always then struggle to move.

I had enough of these dreams that I got to the point were I could sometimes shake off the paralysis a little and even roll out off bed. By then end I wasn't even afraid and started to enjoy the fight against the paralysis. For awhile I thought these were waking dreams but the times I rolled out of bed I found that I would awake not having done so, thus just a normal dream.

This one always weirded me out. Any clues to what this could have been about?
