Hi,

I had an very odd dream last night that has been bugging me all day. I get the feeling it is definitely telling me something.

It started with me getting off a plane and going to a train station attached to the airport. I don't know where I was or why I was there. All I knew was I needed to catch a train home.

On the platform I saw two people (one male and one female) who I was close friends with about 10 years ago. Both have since moved abroad (different countries) and I have lost contact with them. I should add that I liked the girl but never plucked up the courage to ask her out before she moved away. In my dream it seemed they were still in regular contact with each other (I don't know if they actually are or not).

We started chatting and I found out they were both catching the same train as me. The girl pointed out that we were on the wrong platform and the train was about to leave. All three of us ran for the other platform but they were both quicker than me. They both made it onto the train but I got there just as the doors were closing.

As the train pulled away I noticed that it wasn't the right train. This one was going to Taunton. It might be worth noting that several months ago I did get on the wrong train by mistake and the incorrect train I boarded was going to Taunton.

I returned to the original platform, which turned out to be correct and got on the train I was expecting to catch. The train had to stop at one of the stations on the way because the line was blocked. I had to get off and catch a replacement bus. Whilst waiting for the bus I went to get a coffee. Whilst in the queue the man behind me, who was a complete stranger spoke to me. He asked me if I knew the two old friends I had met at the station referring to them by name. He followed this up asking me if I realised they both find me difficult to talk to.

This is an interesting comment as I recently changed jobs, which I think has turned out to be a mistake. In my review my manager told me that my shyness makes it difficult to people to approach me when they need to speak to me. My new job is with a small company (approx 40 employees) when in the past I have only worked for large multi-nationals. All managers I had with them acknowledged it was a potential issue, but I was doing what I needed to to prevent it holding me back.
