      Newb. A corpse sleeps.

So I'm new here. I'm not easy to rattle but I had quite the childish experience last night. It was a pretty normal night. Nothing very special going on, just a Sunday night before the fear of work in the morning. I'm a 25 y/o male that lives with my girlfriend and works a mundane job. I've possibly never had this expierience before. I've felt similar before and it was the night my grandmother died a few years ago. There was definitely something supernatural with that dream/nightmare, but I don't know what was happening here. Here is a detailed description of what this dream was. It all happened very fast. So if I'm missing details, any kind of questions may spark a lost memory.

Sunday night. Had only been asleep for 3 hours. Had gone to sleep after watching an episode of sponge bob lol. I don't remember any dreams prior to or after this dream but all I know is that I felt half awake. I looked to my left where my girlfriend should have been sleeping and saw a pale woman lying next to me. Old, wrinkled, cracked white face. Bright white eyes, gaping mouth, with darkened teeth and thin lips reaching out at me from a foot away. There was something sinister and insidious in the look and feel of this figure. There was something very evil and dead about the figure. I for the first time in my life that I can remember shrieked and jumped out of bed. Ran into the living room still clutching a pillow and felt supremely defensive. My fight or flight reflex had definitely kicked in. I stood trembling next to the light switch anxious. My girlfriend called out to me but I didn't trust her voice. I felt as if it was a trick of this demon. I flipped the lights on to watch my girlfriend walk out of the bedroom. As I saw her I broke down in tears. I couldn't shake the feeling for about an hour. I didn't want the lights off but I sucked it up and returned to bed.

I'm not easily rattled. I don't cringe for violence. I live for horror movies. But this for what ever reason shook me to my core. Growing up I loved horrific dreams and nightmares because they would give me the rush that a fantastic movie would. This was completely different. What is y'all's interpretation of this? I've searched around for answers and couldn't find anything similar.
