John Lennon Dream

This dream takes place right after John Lennon's murder.
I see an interview with George talking about it. All u can see is his face because everything else is blacked out. George sounds sad but I don't remember what he said.

Then changed to a memorial service for John. Its in a dark alley in a poor part of town. There is a big yellow cross in the center. Almost stage looking like chairs lined up as an arch surrounding the cross, but not well done. We put a crudely done pink cross over the yellow one to make a point but I don't know what. On the cross there is a photo of him but it isn't him and his mouth is duct tapped shut. I thought it was bad and shouldn't be there. No priest was there or was anyone saying a few words. I'm just an observer sitting next to Paul with Yoko behind us. Yoko and Paul were talking in whispers but it was hard to understand because of the loud, incoherent noise in the background and I didn't like it. Yoko had to tell Paul something important, but before that could happen a japanese dude in a gray suit (everyone else was in cheap brown) whispered into her ear. He was an older man and I thought he was sinister looking and lying to her, but he must have told her not to talk because she didn't. We looked at the cross again as this lady with red/blonde hair was removinf the pink cross. She had a smug look on her face and was middle aged. I thought she just didn't understand and was doing what she thought was right. She removed the cross but didnt see the second one or as the second one fell. The second one seemed large and looled able to kill hef if it landed on her. I was scared she would die as everything slowed down as the cross fell. She barely dodged it and didn't even know it had almost killed her.

I'm in a Beatles class but we aren't up to his death yet. I'm a female 16 and just got a boyfriend. Helpful in interpreting?

You are taking a Beattles class, and it doesnot matter that in class you have not gotten to John's death yet because you know that ending already, and it has a powerful influence on your imagination.

I noticed the mouth taped shut on the photo and then the Japanese man telling Yoko not to speak, so there is a theme in this dream about not speaking up, being unable to speak up.

I think there is a more general theme of hat is appropriate or inappropriate: a kitschy cross over another, a photo that is not right, to speak or not to speak.

The almost fatal accident at the funeral adds an element of danger to the dream, a dramatic moment. I think it is a significant moment in this dream.

That's what jumped out at me the most. Sorry to not be of more help.

Here is a possibiity:.

John was about peace and love, so maybe that was murdered in you.
But he also is about being individual, creative, a leader, imagining ideals.
The important part is what Lennon means to you, or to your dream.

George was the Spiritual one which may be why this aspect in you was talking about it.
Everything else is blacked out in you because of this and it's sad.
Then you remembered what John means to you.
It's dark in you here and this aspect is now poor.

Why does every pic look like Jesus?
The big yellow cross in the center seems like what you can put on a grave - sunny salvation, perhaps, and resurrection of this after crucifixion or death.
Almost stage-looking can mean the stage of life - ha, I didn't mean the stage of life you are at now, but being on stage - indeed like the Beatles. So this love and peace aspect, or whatever it is, perhaps dying on your stage of life.

Chairs lined up as an arch surrounding the cross suggest you sitting and surrounding it, but not well done.
Parts of you put a crudely done salvation of love, perhaps, over the yellow one perhaps to make the point love will save the day, or save this part of yourself.
On the cross, the picture you have isn't him anymore and his expression is now shut, for this part died in you.
That's why you thought it was bad and shouldn't be there.

No leader of your spiritual part was there nor were any other part of you expressing or thinking about this.
You just observed it going on in you, next to what parts of you remained, but was not the same or even related.
Paul was not the same and Yoko was behind splitting up the band, lol, apparently.
Oh no Yoko may be your side divorced by force from John, the part of him that remained.

These other parts of you, Yoko and Paul, were talking in whispers but did not have the powerful expression and meaning of John. They were probably what was left of your John side, talking to your side opposite to that.
It was hard to understand because of the loud, incoherent noise in the background that was left, and you didn't like it.
Yoko had to tell Paul something important - possibly about the Spiritual or John aspect - but before that could happen an old, gray, sinister, lying idea (every other part of you was cheap and dirty without John) whispered into her ear: Her Spiritual side was taken over. Possibly by the lie that the Lennon idea could not live again in you.
It stopped that side of you expressing.

Therefore, maybe the angry/dumb part of you removed the love from the cross of resurrection.
This part of you was smug and from the middle ages - not really but her age can mean another bad old idea.
You thought this part of you just didn't understand and was doing what you thought was right.
It was like the defeatist side of you.

You removed the idea of saving the Lennon in you, but this side didn't see the second chance you had, but that also fell.
The second idea or attempt is often stronger and bigger, so seemed large and able to kill this negative side of you if it landed on it.
You were scared you would die, or this side of you, as everything slowed down as the saving idea fell.
You barely dodged it and didn't even know it had almost killed you.

You being in a Beatles class probably isn't directly why you had the dream, but often dreams use the experiences we have as they can become ideal symbols.
But just got a boyfriend doesn't seem to fit. Rather just losing one might.
However, can it mean you have lost some part of yourself in gaining him?

The important part is what Lennon means to you, or to your dream. You probably formed a definite impression of him that connected to you and made this dream.
And this part of you died and you thought you could not have it back again.
