Question Rat a cat and a vat of red wine !!!

Had a horrible nightmare last night. Still cant get it out of my head .

Im in the huge building its like loads of offices and I'm suppose to be working in there but 'Im fed up of the place and want to leave. So I walk out and go to a funfair with I think its my grand daughter but I cant see her face but the feeling is its her. So I'm going round the fair not going on rides or anything just sort of walking round. Then Im by this stall and win a prize. Its like a water jug, you know the sort people had years ago to get a wash in the bedrooms its was that sort of shape. But it was pitch black and the lid on it was sealed with tar. But I could get red wine out of it through the spout. I'm not even a red wine drinker lol...prefer a nice white. Anyway I'm drinking this wine and its horrible. Still got my grand daughter with me she's 7yrs old so she's not drinking it. Then I'm trying to get this lid off to see if there's any more wine left !. As I'm scraping off the tar the lids gets pushed off and this black rat soaking wet pushes its self out I'm at this point screaming lol....The rat runs off then this scraggy black cat appears that's soaking wet as well. It jumps on the floor and its in a right state I can still see its fur all tatty and its eyes. I could see the rats eyes as well before it run off. I think I woke up then it was about 5am. Anyone tell me what it means...like I said I can still remember it 8 hours later.
      Thanks AA

The dream starts with you feeling fed up, and continues on a similar note in a way, despite funfair and granddaughter who should make this all better but don't. Is something currently giving you a bad taste? Is something not up to your usual tastes? Do you smell a rat? Is there something that could be considered a win, but you do not consider it as such? Something that you feel you ought to feel better about than you do, or something that others are saying makes you lucky, but you consider an issue? Something is off.

I am thinking that the cat may just be there to chase the rat, but I may be wrong about that.

Thanks for that Joanna.....I didn't get the feeling the cat was chasing the rat...It felt more like they were feeling sorry for themselves being stuck in the jug. They both seemed glad to be out....funny thing dreams

Well, if I had been stuck in a jar someone had been drinking out of, I bet I too would feel sorry for myself, and be glad to be out of there. It occurred to me that the rat and cat can also be thought to be part of you: do you have a reason to feel stuck in an unpleasant situation, which you are eager to get out of? Oh, and yes, dreams are indeed funny. And I feel that some have more meaning behind them, but others are just bizarre mental associations that start out with something that may be inoccuous, and before you know it the dreaming mind has exaggerated it and blown it out of proportion, and transformed it following a weird (il)logic, and at the end we get a result that is funny indeed.
