Dream about my friends and three "medieval" brothers I don't have.

      Hey everyone!
This is the first dream that I post in this forum. Let's et to the point.

Last night I dreamnt about my friends. We were sitting in a cafe where we usually hang out. Small gigs are usually held there. A band was on stage and the singer told to a friend of mine "I dedicate this song to my friend." My friend was really happy and told that if she and the (female) singer were in the same school, they would hang out all the time.

After a while we all sat on a table. My best (male) friend threw rocks and an arrow to the ceiling and formed five holes(Note: I am an athlete in archery and he is a sagittarius). The waiter came and told him that if he didn't stop he would kick him out. I felt realy worried so I told him that I had a plan. We went out, gathered five tree branvhes and then put them in the holes.
When we got back to our friends the waiter told to my friend's dad, who was in the cafe, to take his son home right away. But we showed him the ceiling and he said that his son did nothing wrong and that a tree is about to break the ceiling.

Then my friend's dad and took me and my friend to our school, where a party was being help. He took us into a room that we did not know it existed and two of the walls had wallpaper on them:the first one had a walllpaper that pictured owls and the other one lions. Inside the room were two doors which could not be opened. I looked at them and said "what am I going to do in 11th and 12th grade?"(this year i am in 10th grade but i am extremelly nervous about the next 2 years ahed of me).My friend's dad told us to look behind us. The wall we were facing was he one with the lions.

Finally, I got out of the room alone, leving the others inside. Outside my three older brothers were waiting(I Am An Only Child In Real Life). The were all dressed in medieval clothes. The youngest one was blonde , like me and short but I remember nothing else about him. The second one was a little taller than the other, chubby, with light brown curly hair.

The oldest looked nothing like the rest of us. He was tall, with long black hair and grey eyes, darker skin than ours and he was wearing a black and red armour. The thing that i immediately noticed was the fact that he has lost his right hand in war.He was the one I loved the most and I felt like we were really close.

We were talking about what we wanted to do when we got "back home(?)". I do not remember what the others said but the oldest brother told me that we wants to become a general, the leader of the army. I felt really happy and proud of him.

Aaaand that's when my annoying alarm comes iiin....

      Any ideas?
      Thanks in advance!

Well, hello, SilverSmog! It is rare for people who posted a dream and got no response to come back months later. It is much less rare for a dream to elicit no interpretation: dreams are hard to interpret at times and for some dreams the interpretation is not apparent to others, and then even if they are read there may not be a response. Since you are still seeking an answer after many months, even though I had no interpretation when I first read your dream, I tried and reread it, and reread it a few times. I am still not sure whether I understand it correctly, and if what I write does not make sense to you, feel free to ignore it.

I do think that your being nervous about what to do in the next two years is indeed connected. The two closed doors may represent the next two years or two options for your future.

Also the lions and the owls are symbolic: the owl is often used as a symbol for wisdom, and the lion is often a symbol for bravery.

Since you do not have brothers in real life, I think they may represent aspects of yourself, possible futures for you. The fact that the brother who wants to be a leader of an army and who lost an arm in combat already is your favorite may mean that you wish you could do something heroic. You want to be happy and proud of yourself.

I am not sure that I have an interpretation for the early part of the dream. The only thought I had is that your friend gets in trouble but then uses creativity to solve the problem, which may be something you admire and strive for - solving problems with creativity.

      I hope this helps.

I agree with JoannaB's thoughts regarding the reason nobody has offered any interpretation. Personally I pop by here fairly often and I think I read every dream posted here, and sometimes I get a hunch or there's a dream that sparks my imagination, and I try to "interpret" it, or rather just write down my thoughts. But with most dream, however interesting they are to read, there is no "hunch" and I don't write my thoughts about it because there aren't any.

Also, the kind of dream you posted is difficult to offer an explanation for, because it is quite unpersonal. You have no conscious relation to its contents -- you don't live during the middle ages, you don't have any brothers, and so forth. So it is very difficult for anybody (including oneself) to connect the dream to the one who had it.

If you dreamed that your boss was angry at you and then there was I girl you had to save, there would be easier to assume the relationship between the contents of the dream and the dreamer. How is your relationship to you boss, in what way do you feel threatened, is the girl an image yourself, and so on. But if you dream that you are in a place you have no real associations to, and there's a strange man there with a broken vase and there's a fountain in the middle, and you have no idea what this is all about -- it is almost impossible in my mind (others may disagree of course) to offer an interpretation that is satisfactory to the dreamer. The contents is "unpersonal" in the sense that the dreamer has no conscious relationship to them, so even if I offered a correct analysis (if that would be possible) the dreamer cannot really relate to it.

I think your dream is a fantastic little story, and I'm happy that you shared it, but sadly I have very little to offer in way of interpretation. One thing that I personally find interesting is the seemingly common pattern that the dream starts out in a personal environment and sort of sinks down to unpersonal environment. But unfortunately it is the latter parts that baffles the dreamer, naturally, and begs interpretation and is perhaps the main motivation for posting the dream for others interpret.

Personally I cannot help with that, but if I would say anything, it would be, that in this dream you are on a journey inwards, from your familiar parts of your self, into the depths of your own inner world, and there you have brothers, helpers; let's say energies of great potential illustrated by three knights, which in a way will walk with you in this life. And that must be something good. But it is perhaps more for contemplation than interpretation, if you follow me.

I had another thought: honor. The singer honors your friend by dedicating the song to her, and the older brother appears to be an honorable person.
