Dreaming of this same girl

The last couple of months I've been having dreams of the same girl over and over again. I had a crush on her back in mid 2012 but I didn't think the feelings I had for her was returned. So I got over her and that's when the dreams started. The first couple of dreams I had with her in them we discovered that we both liked each other and then the later ones we acted like a couple.
I dreamt of her this night and again we were a couple in the dream.
I never think of her when I'm awake (only the day I had a dream with her) so I am kind of confused why I am dreaming of her.
Note that I normally NEVER dream and I haven't had any other dreams that I remember at all. The only ones I remember are the ones where she is in. These dreams aren't lucid though.

My English might not be the best and it might seem cluttered, so please tell me if you don't understand some of it.

Your dreams about the girl might be representing something other than your like for her. Also, you tend to continue to dream about a person when you're thinking, "I've been having a lot of dreams about this person".

I speak from personal experience. The person who's appeared the most in my dreams is a former female co-worker that I like but didn't really have a crush on. She's a vegan and a sort of health nut and she's generally pretty happy so when I think of her though I think of health and happiness. That's what I believe that she represents when she appears in my dreams. Although, in a couple of dreams we've acted as a couple as well. Perhaps when we acted as a couple in the dream that was my minds way of symbolizing "There's health and happiness in my life right now".

I don't know what the dreams could be representing though.
I think about it the day I dreamt of her and forget about it quickly and then maybe a week later I would dream of her again. It seems really odd to me as I never had these kind of dreams before and like I said, I generally don't dream (or don't remember what I dream) but the dreams with this particular girl is what I really remember and it confuses me every time. Do you think it could be my subconscious telling me that I still have feelings for her?

You generally remember dreams better when they're more important to you.

If you never think of her while you're awake, then you probably don't subconsciously have feelings for her. What are of some things or qualities you associate with this girl? That could give you some clues as to what she might be representing.

It's also possible that your dreams are acting out your repressed wish, or some such. You say that you got over her, but maybe some rational part of you got over her because you realized that there was no point in the crush if it was not returned, but maybe an irrational part of your subconscious is holding on to that crush, and if you consciously tell yourself "stop dreaming of her, there is no use!" a part of you does not listen and rebels and dreams of her even more? If that is the case, perhaps you can accept that she is there, and show your subconscious that you are indifferent rather than irritated, and maybe then she will disappear from your dreams?

Of course, you could also take advantage of her presence in your dreams, and think of her as your dream character, and realize that you are dreaming when you see her in your dream, and then you can do whatever you want in your dream, which of course then no longer needs to be about her once you become lucid.

Well, I feel you. I dream of this girl I like constantly too.

But the thing is, I think she's my dream sign. And there's no way to change that.

Could that be your case?
