Can anyone interpret this dream?

My old youth pastor was taking me to her church for some kind of new bible study she wanted me to try out. I didn’t want to, but I eventually complied. When we got to the church she took me downstairs into the fellowship hall. It seemed like there were at least three couples having sex towards the edges of the room. I asked what was going on, but I never heard an answer. Someone was playing piano, but I couldn’t tell who it was. The youth pastor told me that it was too hot inside to be wearing a jacket. I said I was fine. She became more and more angry with each passing second. She then had some of the men forcefully remove the jacket to where she could see blood running down my arms. She seemed furious but also delighted at the same time, almost as if she was glad she had predicted it. She said to show them all my scars. I refused. A group of them forcefully removed my clothes. All the old scars began to bleed out again, and they all stood in shock at my blood drenched skin. Someone opened up a bible and said that it was classified as scarification for a demonic spirit. The people who were having sex then stood up and started praying themselves safe from God’s wrath they said I had brought upon them. There were people in the background singing. I got a glance of the piano players face, he seem scared, like a slave that wasn’t allowed to speak...like he knew what was going to happen to me. A friend of mine walked into the church and followed the noise. He saw what was happening, like he had seen it before. He ran to me and covered me with his jacket. He started to yell at them all, but they just hissed. He picked me up and began walking towards the door, but they stopped him. They took me, and shot him in the head. They said that he was obviously demon possessed as well. They took me to a darker room, lit only by a fire. They started saying things I couldn’t understand. A man came in with a chain, knotted like a noose. They threw it into the fire, pulled it back out and put it around my neck.

Hmmm... The whole situation is really strange but i would guess that there is something in your life which hinders you from being free or independent. And that you still stuck in your past and there are things you still can't forget. In addition there could be people who could help you out but you can't trust them much or you fear to lost them. I hope I could help you

But actually you're the only one you can examine your own situation

I can give it a try. It seems to me like you are forceing yourself to do stuff you do not want to do. But you do not want to admit this. So instead you have the image that others are forceing you, even in a sadistic manner. The blood running out of you is probably your life draining from you. Do you feel that you have emotional scars that people are trying to expolit?

This friend seems to be really important to you, someone you feel knows you and is trying to protect you. But even your friend can´t take you away from your pain. It seems also that you are quite passive. You are telling them "no". Mayby in real life you are not really living the life you want. You say "I don´t wan´t to do this" to yourself, but then you feel that you have to. What would you like to do in this dream? Should you mayby step out of the room? Free the slaves?

A religious group can for many people be a place full of rules and judgement. And in this dream it really seems like that. The main themes seems to be that of confusion, fear, obediance, compulsion, sadism, anger. It seems like non of the feelings are attributed to yourself. Mayby you feel that it's difficult to acknowledge your own feelings and your suffering.

I could of course be completly wrong. But from my interpretation of this dream, I think you should take a good look inside you and see what's in there and if you are to hard on yourself. It seems to me that you even have the image that feelings of emotional pain is wrong. You do not seem to be in a situation that is good for you.

Also I wonder what your current place is in your spiritual journey? Are you having a spiritual crisis of sort? Are you still practicing religion in the same way you were when you were with this youth pastor? Do you fear that she would not approve of who you have become?

Are you yourself comfortable with who you are and the path you are on?

When one tries to understand a dream one has to connect it to the dreamer's reality, so I would like to ask four questions:

1. Do you have scars in real life and if so from what kind of wounds are they from?
2. What are your experiences with the pastor in real life?
3. How would you like to describe the person who tried to save you?
4. Could you tell us a little bit about yourself, and is there something in your life that you think this dream might be connected to?
