Well you might not think you could have loads of fun, so you might see life or death or the future trip as a bit of a joke. But your friend is like the good times or relationship you had but may not have now, and you feel dead.
But it looks like you won't look up in your thinking, or maybe won't stop thinking. Because then you think of killing yourself for real. I think the red blanket is your dangerous comfort that thought of suicide can give, that punishes you.
You'd rather the pain stop. As well as what was suggested, Killing yourself can mean killing the negative side, which can happen slowly. You can stop giving it so much energy. You can choose to reject those thoughts. It would give room for the positive ones. It could also be quickly, dependant on you.
You ran away from suicide, but the side of you that wants to live, or most of you, tried to bring you back to the negative thoughts. So it's true you shouldn't trust your side that said kill yourself.
Get a substitute teacher in you that thinks good, and can add up logically.
