Eggs in dream

Hi, I have a dream of eggs few nights ago, i have seen a guy who stands one floor upper to me and he is constantly throwing me eggs and also wants me to catch all of them and put them in the basket. But while doing his tough work, i broke few eggs cause i couldn't catch it properly. In the end, i have seen plenty of eggs in the basket. Would someone explain me about this?

Don't put all your eggs into one basket is a saying I think of when I think of eggs and baskets. So if I dreamed of eggs and baskets that would be my most likely association. I do believe that different people have different associations, and due to those dream meanings may differ from person to person: a person who has a phobia of snakes and another person who has a pet snake, if they both dreamed of snake, I bet the meaning would be different. So if you believe that throwing eggs and breaking some is positive for you, then it may well be, since it is your dream. Did it feel positive to you when you had the dream and when you woke up? Breaking for most people is negative in some cultures, but for example in Poland we have a saying that "where things are breaking or spilling, there all will be well." So breaking and spilling is interpretted to bring good luck. This saying is used to reassure someone when stuff just broke and spilled. If you grew up with such a belief, I bet that would influence dream meanings of breaking and spilling to be more positive.

As far as I remember my dream i was little enjoying at the moment when i felt i have to move my hands fast to keep up with him and i did after broke few eggs, cause he was throwing like crazy and i keep on requesting him to just slow down sir!, slow down sir! but he didn't (that part was little scary). Actually i have been going through very unstable and struggling situations these days, looking for jobs for a long time but not seeing any bright light. My brain doesn't stop thinking about negative stuff, giving me so much depression and adopting a kind of repellent nature even though i'm so optimistic and easy going guy. In my culture, if a looking mirror falls onto the ground or break something before go out for an interview/first job inadvertently, all will be well. I don't have a clue about eggs, I have never had eggs in my dream before....

In light of what you said now, I would go with ParanoidLlama on the interpretation that the egg throwing represents something like life hitting you too hard or things coming at you faster than you can handle. Please note that this is not a precognitive dream, not a prediction of your future, but rather a reflection of how things have been going for you lately. You say yourself that your brain does not stop thinking about negative stuff lately. Well, in such situations a person's brain usually does not stop when they are asleep either. Which only makes the situation worse. If I were you, I would work on ways to calm my mind and think more of the current moment and not worry so much about the past or future constantly, to try to reduce the mental stress both in waking life and in dreams. The problem is that negative thinking leads to a vicious cycle of more and more negative thinking unless one stops it. At this point instead of helping you rest at night, your mind is producing stressful dreams that just make it worse, I believe. Wishing you peace.

Could be something in your everyday life that you have to do repeatedly. Maybe you feel especially bad when you make a mistake at this because breaking eggs is an especially 'bad' act in that it takes one slip to make a great mess.

Hi Joanna Ok, i have a new dream last night and again it was about eggs. I dreamt that i went to somewhere( don't know where) and saw 2 chicken like birds but not chickens and my friends were calling them Emu. Then i saw a female bird is laying 5 eggs and i was so excited becuase it's all happening in front my eyes. After that male bird took all eggs and slowly cute, fluffy yellow little chicks were throwing out of the eggs. After while, they started playing with me and believe me i was extremely happy then we decided that we need to migrate them to any warm place nearby because winter is coming around the corner. suddenly i woke up... Please interpret this dream. why eggs all the time?????

We'll, the thing about eggs is that they do contain all that is needed to create a life in one compact package. You experience joy when playing with the chicks. I wonder whether this means that you have all you need for the potential to experience joy? Could be about new beginnings, new project, new life. You feel protective toward this, and problem solving how to protect this when times get colder / harsher / less joyful. The thing about same symbol in multiple dreams, they do not necessarily always need to mean the same thing, once a symbol becomes part of one's subconscious repertoire it can be used to convey different meaning. I had a while during which I had many dreams about kid nappers and yet I had the feeling that the dreams were not all alike, not all about the same theme. The other thing to keep in mind is that once you start thinking about the meaning of a symbol in a dream you are much more likely to dream of it again: you now have eggs on your mind because you have been wondering about the eggs in your other dream. As usual I could of course be wrong.
