big red neck mark

Today i had this dream.. I was looking my self at the mirror and i had this huge dark red mark on the neck. I was hiding it with my hoodie from people from work. Then there was an event going on and we went into a room which had a window and i was told to jump from the window to the other side of the cliff (between room the outside) which i replied was quite tall and could die if one didn't jump high enough, there was a guy which was the most vivid character. Later in the dream the mark faded into a milder color and reduced in size. After i went into a river and there were streams of coins which were passing and i caught some but the water current was strong so i used the rocks as support to get outside.

any one has a clue on the red mark in the neck? that is specially my concern...

I wonder whether the dream could be a play in the term "redneck", so maybe you were hiding some redneck qualities under a hoodie (a hoodie being a piece of clothing that is not of the redneck subculture.

You made a leap at an event, perhaps a leap of faith? If you did not jump high enough, or have enough faith, you might die spiritually? The river could be a symbolic baptism of sorts, or your subconscious flowing. But it is filled with coins, so material values along with the spiritual.

Could be about culture clash and trying to reconcile different seemingly contradictory aspects of yourself. Or I could be all wrong about this dream, of course.

Edit: Just noticed that you are from Costa Rica, not the US, so the term redneck is much less likely to be the cause for the red neck in the dream, since redneck is such a regional term.

Thank you for the reply helps me analyse the dream further.

Well i got involved with a girl(the experience was not joyful and got freaked out after it) and she left me a neck bite mark and i was hiding it with my hoodie. I definitely believe it is related and concluded she hurt me more spiritually, which is represented by the nasty mark on the neck. After, the mark has faded a little showing healing.

The river with the strong water current shows that it is not easy to earn the pay and it takes effort. Also i am not able to swim against it by myself and need a solid support which comes from the rocks.

On the event represents a friend of mine telling me to take a risk from which i backed off. In real life taking the risk of taking an exam which I could not pass.

Still think there is more to it but obscured...

I also thought that the mark is maybe like a brand of ownership. So the girl thought she owned you, and wanted other to see it, but you disagreed.

The rock is of course very spiritually meaningful: Jesus told Peter that he is the rock upon which he will build his church. Holding on to the rock is like holding on to steadfast faith and to the church and to one's beliefs.
