      Weird Pregnancy Dream?

I recently had a dream very similar to one I had only a couple weeks ago and because of it's strange nature, I decided to look into some help interpreting it. In both dreams I was pregnant with one of my best friend's kid. I experienced the pregnancy and after the birth (holding the baby in the hospital, taking the baby home, caring for the baby, etc.) but not the birth itself. My friend, whose name is Steven, was present through the whole thing. We're 16 and 17, but he was surprisingly supportive through it all. I'd like to point out that we're not dating and, although I have a slight crush on him, I actually have a boyfriend who I am quite happy being with. We were not dating in the dream initially but it soon developed into a relationship. In any case, in the first dream the baby was a girl with my eyes and her father's hair. We were discussing what to name her because we both wanted a name that meant something to us. I don't remember if we settled on one, but I do recall that we both liked Virginia. When I told Steven this, he told me that his grandmother's name was Virginia, which I had not known previously. My great aunt, who has been a big part of my life for the past couple years as one of my guardians, is also named Virginia. I also recall that the pregnancy was the result of a drunken mistake. Neither of us drink- first, because we are underage and second, I personally do not drink because I am on medication that does not mix well with alcohol. Thus it seems strange that we would be drunk enough to do such a thing. In the second dream, I cannot remember how the pregnancy came to be, and we weren't initially dating in this dream either, although we did develop a relationship later on. I believe the baby was a boy who resembled his father quite a bit but he had my eyes. I don't think we discussed names. In this dream, the majority of the dream focused on the moments after the birth rather than the pregnancy whereas the first dream focused more on the actual pregnancy. In both dreams I was initially terrified and quite anxious about having a kid, but as our relationship developed and after the baby was born I settled into motherhood pretty easily, and Steven made a wonderful father. I remember feeling an intense feeling of love in one particular moment of the dream where I was sitting down and holding the baby with Steven standing over me, his hand on my shoulder. After doing some research I have found that dreams about pregnancy mean growth or development, or new ideas or goals, but for some reason I feel as though it means more than that. Perhaps you can help me? Hopefully I included enough information. Thank you so much!

To be drunk may mean to be free of responsibilities. One think I am thinking after reading your dream is that in dreams our unconscious is often uninhibited by such things as moral values and good reasons that cause our conscious mind would avoid in waking life. In waking life you would not have an affair with your best friend because you have a different relationship, even though you have a slight crush. In waking life you would not drink both because you are under age and because you know you could not drink with your medications. You are responsible in waking life. But in dreams your mind does not have to remain responsible and can act uninhibited, acting out that small crush into perhaps a kind of wish fulfillment dream of an affair with your friend. Does not mean that in waking life you would or should ever act upon it, but in dreams no harm done. The pregnancy can symbolize new beginnings, yes, new projects, new ideas. You are a growing person. And perhaps at times you feel the pressure of responsibilities of growing up, and these dreams may be about that having a baby is after all one of those grown up things that bring with it lots of responsibilities. And yet in your dream it happened due to a drunken indisgression. So a moment of irresponsibility resulting in new responsibilities. But you are ready to embrace the new responsibilities despite initial anxiety. Of course, that may or may not be the right interpretation. But it is one possible one.
You may say I'm a dreamer.
