      poetic demon

I forgot much of the beginning of this dream, but I found the ending to be really strange and was hoping someone would have an idea on its meaning.

I was with somebody in downtown Indy, and we were in a skyscraper. There were different levels with different themes, but I only remember two of the themes. One was a kid's arcade which had games but they were way out of proportion. Like the ski balls were the size of huge beachballs. Then above that level is a military place. We didnt realize it at first, and as soon as I realize this I want to leave. There's like some lady standing at a computer type thing waiting for our ids I think.

Then the next thing that I can remember is my friend and I walk outside to leave the building and see two homeless people lying down outside. I look at the one and all of a sudden his neck stretches out really far and he may scream I'm not sure. Then his body goes sliding really fast along the ground until he hits the other homeless guy. I comment on how there's no way he could move like that to my friend. Then I smell sulphur, and I immediately know he's a demon. I tell my friend we need to get out of there, and we hurry to try and find my car but we can't find it anywhere. We may hear the demon screaming in the distance. Then we see the paramedics come for the demon/homeless guy. Somehow we end up walking by again, and he's on a stretcher with like an oxygen mask and stuff on him. He turns his head to the side and says this is for the one on the outside, he meant me, "Everyone you see, Everywhere you go, Doesn't matter what they know, They still can't see your face." (I'm not sure that's exactly how it was worded but that was the best I could remember it.) I was expecting something kind of prophetic from him for some reason. Then the rest of the dream he's chasing me. At one point somebody tells me to pull out an eyebrow hair. I try, not sure if I can get one, then some lady runs up with tweezers and gets one. I have no idea why, but that was supposed to somehow help protect me from the demon lol.

A while before this dream I saw the Exorcism of Emily Rose which could be why I could recognize the demon's "signs".

      Dear undothemystery

Well, congratulations are in order. People who are inherently Demonic are never targeted by Demons. Such an affliction is held exclusively toward the Good and the Holy.

And this is where we arrive at the Demon's taunt -- "Everyone you see, everywhere you go, doesn't matter what they know, they'll never see your Face". This is to imply that the Modern World has lost its discernment for Goodness -- its ability to make Moral Distinctions. You are an inherently Good Person, that is, the thoughts that come from out of your Heart have an intrinsic Goodness. This, your Spiritual Face, is the Golden Purity of True Virtue. But in this Materialistic World there is no test for it, and it will go largely unrecognized.

Except for people with intuition. You have probably heard people speak about your eyes. You are always complemented on your eyes, aren't you. This is the recognition of your True Face.

I know, I know, the Demon had said that nobody would ever know. Well, the first thing about Demons, well the second thing after that they stink so bad, is that they are terrible liars. As Socrates said, one Good Man can always recognize another. Indeed there are two parallel stories, one from East and one from the West. In one Zen story, this almost middle-aged 'student' laments to his Master that his life has gone by in Spiritual Pursuit with scarcely a positive result. Patience is advised. Well, some time later, the Student Monk is on an errand to town when he is suddenly hit by the Satori Experience. Still a mile away from the Temple the Old Master looks out upon the approaching road and sees his Student and instantly KNOWS, and sends a delegation out to carry him back on their shoulders. It was a fun story. Then, years later I found that I was reading the exact same story but it was about Saint Bernard and one of his Monks. The exact same story, simply trading in the particulars. This indicates that Goodness can not be hidden from the Good. The Demons may be blinded to the Light -- making the vampires blink and whither -- but the Good use the Light to See.

      Leo-
The eye comment really hit home. I have a friend that would definitely qualify as "intuitive" even though I always question this, and he's been telling me for as long as he's known me about my eyes and how they are "special". I'm a very skeptical person and always blew his comments off or at least highly questioned them, but I'll put more consideration into that now.
