[quote]
If you would distance yourself from the girlfriend of your best friend, you would ruin the relation with your best friend anyway...
Don't distance herself just for one dream; it would be unfair towards her and towards your friend. As far as we know, she might be a wonderful soul and not a "s..t"...
I think that dreams do not dictate so detailed decisions, but they inspire a lifestyle.

I only advocate what has always been considered discreet. One could simply pretend to be shy with girls. Nobody would even have to notice that anything is in the least amiss. For after all, what have I suggested, but that he never sit next to her, nor be alone with her. What could be suspicious about that? You know, most best friends would appreciate it that their friends are not continuously all over their girlfriends.
More friendships break up because friends are not careful with their friends girlfriends then because they are not.
Besides, I once applied such rules to myself on a large scale. I was something of a Religious Leader in the Community and suspected that my career would go smoother if I avoided any hint or suspicioun of Scandal. So I never talked to a wife alone, but only when her husband was at least in the same room and witness to the utmost propriety of behavior. If the husband ever had to step out, I would step out with him, or find a new member of the party to chat with. and in the years of abiding by such a plan, there had never been a single awkward moment. I think everyone appreciated my discretion.
