Thread: can someone interpret this for me?

It sounds like just random dream events to me. In yoru dreams memeories and ideas get fragmented and sewn together alot.

You could try interpreting this by using random association.
Think "Johnny Depp". The first things you associate him with might have something to do with your relationship to your dad.

By having your dad called Johnny Depp in this dream, it can very simply imply that you have some misconception about your dad. The scene brings to mind the expression: "a rose by any other name would smell as sweet" - which suggests that a thing is what it is, not what it is called. This in turn suggests that no matter what you wish to call your dad or how you label him (sometimes kind of mean), he is still your DAD. If I had to read anything into it... Maybe you feel like you don't know him well enough? That it'd be easy for a dream-you to accept it was somebody else.. Or if you were hanging out and having a good time, you felt like he wasn't being himself.

Or something like that. The only thing I'm sure of is that it's not going to be anything to do with Johnny Depp.

Well, what do you think of Johnny Depp. You are not a great fan of Johnny Depp, but then, you are not a great fan of your Father, or not without some reservations.

My impression is that you do not sufficiently understand your father. The differences you have with him over these details of day to day living are overshadowing a complete understanding of your father's character and motives.

Think about what your opinion is of Johnny Depp. that will help you understand your father.

Also, look at who your father's friends are, and your father's standing in the community. What do all of the neighbors think of him. His relationship with you is one thing, but look around and see what the rest of the world thinks of him. Your perspective of your father may improve with alittle bit of distance.
