I too have had dreams featuring a shapeshifting creature which sometimes appeared as a Cat, although after a while they stopped. Still haven't had a clue as to what it meant, if anything though. Maybe you felt about something the way a Cat would, waiting to pounce on a mouse? Just a thought...
