      Completely Random

I have taken a crack at a few dreams, so does anyone want to try one of mine?

My background information: No girlfriend, large group of loose friends, my interests are music, acting and reading. And I am inadvertantly condescending to just about everyone I know.

I see a vision of a book I read recently called "Sabriel", but the book is thinner than it should have been. Then I realized that I was in a medium sized room, like a personal Library or something. There were two men in the room with me, both in red; one looked like captain hook (or a cheap knock off of him), the other was nondescript. We were standing around a planning table talking about planning something, I don't know what.

Suddenly, I'm on the ground outside. It's now the middle of a scavenger hunt. There are little slips of paper everywhere that look like oversized fortune cookie fortunes. Some of them have red squares on one side of them, but most are blue. I'm going for the red ones. The papers have text on them, things like you would see on a board game card: "Go back three spaces". But some aren't paper at all, but ketchup packets that make things happen, like magic.

I pick up a packet and squeeze and go to an 8-bit, topdown version of a town, like from a game. I see myself for the first time. I have long, blueish-black hair (It's really short and Brown). I also see someone who I percieve as a friend but don't recognize go into a nearby house. I can see silhoetes through the roof when the lightning strikes. It has been raining, but I just now realize it. My "friend" is throwing what looks like clothes out of a dresser and across the room.

I walk across the town square to another house and enter without knocking. The woman who owns the house immediately asks me if I would walk her cat. The cat is like a skinny version of Garfield that won't stop smiling. I take the tray from the bottom of her fridge, realize I'm dreaming finally become Lucid and...

My alarm clock goes off, Da**it!
      Live for the day.

wow that's a really messed up dream. I had a dream kind of like that once. I had a dream that i was in a "game like town" and i was just going into these houses. And i was with a friend, and they were searching through a dresser and throwing the clothes out, and then they took the rugs off the floor and were throwing them out the window. Maybe that's a symbol for something, but honestly, i couldn't tell ya because i have no clue.

The dream suggests that you could, if only in your mind, be able to see or imagine that the book "Sabriel" carries less weight or importance than you might see it having in reality. (see a vision of a book - the book is thinner than it should have been) A book in general represents recorded knowledge. The book "Sabriel" is a fantasy tale. The thin book of "Sabriel" can imply there is slim pickings here where knowledge is concerned. The room would represent a point of view that pertains to personal reading material or your personal collection of knowledge. (in a personal library) A medium sized room can also suggest a rather normal development of consciousness but not the most expanded possible. (small, medium - large) The 2 men indicate a wrong idea being used - one which may apply to your personal choice of reading matter as well as to possibly plans in this subject area or to plans in general.

The 2 men also represent an aspect of your mind with a wrong idea that makes the True Self "see red" (both in red). The one looking like Captain Hook would suggest a fantasy aspect to your way of thinking - a quality that adds little value to your mind (a cheap knock off of him) and which may present your more
realistic thinking as nondescript by association. (the other was nondescript) As Captain Hook was a pirate, he can also suggest an imaginative use of the mind through which you are robbing yourself.

Using realistic grounds of reasoning (on the ground outside) you could see yourself having the role of a scavenger (in the middle of a scavenger hunt) seeking ideas - the objects looked for - that could be likened to refuse or garbage. There is much emphasis on a theory (slips of paper everywhere) that exaggerates the importance of future forecasts (oversized fortune cookie fortunes) or perhaps simply the idea of good fortune. In this subject area there is some worldly thinking (squares on them) that is eliciting strong feelings or anger (some have red squares) which you go for, but mainly spiritual approval (most are blue).

The good fortune suggested here might reflect the luck of the draw (like on a board game card) and some fortunes may not move you forward but backwards. (as in "go back three spaces") The squares on paper might also suggest the idea of bulleted lists. While you might expect to see only one fortune given (as on a fortune cookie), the squares could thus imply a list of options could be possible. The theory pertaining to good fortune is also being seen in terms of food for thought meant to give emotional satisfaction (papers are ketchup packets) but usually where ideas have not been well developed or thought out. (ketchup packets are associated with fast food, like hamburgers). In your mind such thinking apparently works magic.

[People who do little real planning in life using real knowledge often rely on good luck or fortune. Note how the planning mentioned at the beginning of the dreams shows a lack of clarity - "planning something - but what". Note also how you did not consciously walk into the scavenger game but just ended up there. If you do not plan your life's "game plan", you may get what life gives you. As this dream is quite long, I will stop the translation here. Hopefully you get the gist of the dream. Note particularly the dream ending and the idea of needing to realize that you are "dreaming" - which can mean living in fantasy or with too much imagination - and need to become more consciously aware (become lucid). Hear the alarm bell going off even if you do not like it.]
