      Really Wierd Reacurring Dreams

Ok. This dream (when it happened) was the first I remembered in a long time. I really appreciate you taking the time to read and interpret this. So, here it goes…

I’m standing on a cliff and below me is a rocky shore and a deep blue sea that makes me want to jump in. The wind is whipping about me, causing my hair to fly wildly along with my long white linen dress. (Which is weird because I don’t ever wear dresses or skirts) Out of the corner of my eye there is a figure of silvery blue light. I now realize that my hands are tied. It isn’t threatening, but I still am compelled to run away from it so, off the cliff I go.

I’m now in a green grassy meadow that invokes some peace back into me. I’m wearing a black long sleeved top and black pants. White ribbons are laced through the sleeves of my shirt. Ahead of me is the Queen of Spades staring into a cracked and broken mirror. She looks mad and yet she looks sad, almost to the point of crying. Staring straight back is the Ace of Spades. Running through the meadow is the figure of silvery blue light. I, once again, feel the need to run away. I decide to jump through the mirror.

I’m standing on a cracked and broken road. On the horizon there are two HUGE mountains and between them is a weird red glow. I noticed I was wearing a pair of jeans and a green T-Shirt with a black leather jacket. (Not real different from what I wear now, minus the jacket.) It’s now suddenly dark and eyes are staring at me from deep within the trees. I look up and the silvery blue figure is in the form of lightning, jagging towards me. I full of fear and I, again, decide to run. So into the horizon I go.

I’m finally on a log in the middle of a wide river trying to cross. The river looks rough and full of rapids. I’m now wearing a long mossy green dress and there are leaves in my hair. I feel anxious and scared, like whatever I’m running from is going to catch up. It does. The silvery blue figure appears in front of me and I’m suddenly cloaked in it’s light. I still feel nervous and yet I feel like I really wanted this thing to come and find me. (Weird!) The figure is definitely giving off a male aura. I can’t see the face because the figure is wearing a mask. I feel very close to this entity, like I know them. He smiles and opens his arm for an embrace...I then wake up.

I have had nothing real big and major happen when this occurred. I had gotten out of a couple relationships that didn’t end to well and I had discovered a new crush with extreme reluctance. I have kind of distanced my self from the opposite sex after the relationships but they weren’t real recent. It’s just that I had felt an attraction to this dream guy. Like I knew him and he knew me. It was really weird. I hate being scrutinized too close and I hate feeling powerless. The outfits changing was kinda weird, I’m not Miss Fashion Sense.

The first part of your dream when you are standing of a cliff etc sounds to me like Norse mythology. I know a woman who has Norse mythology dreams and the last one she saw a boy battling a horse but the horse was wearing a cape like they do on family chevrons from the UK.

      Re: Really Wierd Reacurring Dreams

Huh. Wow, this was one interesting dream. Long, too. I rarely have dreams this clear. You've provided some really useful info for interpretation, and though I'm sure as hell no expert, I'll give it a stab. I won't deal with it chronologically, though, I'll just pick bits out, themes, etc...

The outfit changes ARE weird. and interesting. One thing I kind of noticed, is that what you are wearing in the dream seems to "fit" and is a part of the dream-scene your in. Like, a long white "windy" dress when you're on a windy cliff, or, a a mossy dress when you're in a (I assume a sort of woodland) area with a river, log... The leather jacket also kind of seems to fit with the broken road.

I THINK I know what this may mean. One guess is that in each dream-scene, it's a different "you"... each of these dream-scenes is a different relationship you've been in. You wear different clothes because you are a different person in each of these memories. You are wearing a white dress in the first memory, and standing at the edge of a cliff, and you want to jump into the water below. THIS represents your FIRST relationship... the dress could mean purity, etc... being white and all. Not so much sexual, as just your first relationship, innocece.... Agh... hard to explain, I dunno how to put it.. meh. Hope you know what I mean. That you are standing on the edge of the cliff is indicative of the whole apprehensiveness, the "leap of faith", that pretty much goes with any first relationship. I mean... it IS sort of like jumping off a cliff...

This seems fairly self-apparant. There's this "aura", which doesn't represent anyone in particular but is more genericly the male sex, which is coming after you. There's a certain sense of inevitability, and you're running because you're afraid of it catching up to you, even though you've got no good reason to be afraid. But, you're pleased when it catches up to you...

Basically, you've been running away from and trying to distance yourself from the male sex as a result of your past relationships... you know the running is kind of irrational, but you go do it anyway. You're a bit scared, apprehensive maybe? Or just a little confused?

That you're pleased when the male aura catches you up indicates the new crush, probably... you're pleased that you're maybe more in tune with the male sex... pleased you have some contact with boys again? It seems to be the end of the running, at least...

That your hands are tied, but you don't find this threatening, perhaps indicates the inevitability of this whole running away from the male sex, etc... you're running away, and this is inevitable, but you're not REALLY feeling threatened by boys...

This is interesting. The "path" you travel in this dream seems to always be cracked or broken. Furthermore, you're running away from this male aura, as already discussed...

My guess is, the cracked path is your previous relationships that didn't end to well, and you're running through, past, and away from these relationships or the memories of them, and away from the male aura that they represent to you... This would be my take, but it's only a guess.

Okay, this little bit is simple: you don't like being scrutinised, and the eyes watching you is representing that in the dream. It being dark also seems to suggest powerlessness, and so, this represents your dislike for that...

Interesting. Like I said before, each dream-scene indicates a different relationship. In this one, the queen of spades, I'm guessing which represents you, is staring through a cracked mirror at the ace of spades... so, you're looking throgh the "lens" of your broken/ended relationship, the mirror, at the person you were in the relationship with, or the relationship itself... this is the ace. The Queen is mad and sad... so... you're upset and angry at this person, or the relationship itself, or the fact that it ended.

I hope I've been some help, and I'm sorry if this is too long, but you gave some really interesting material to work with. I'm sure asd hell no expert in dream interpretation and have a lot to learn, and so I may be off the mark... I dunno. Interpretation is a very vague and approximate exercise, and very subjective, I think. So, I'd love any feedback or comments you've got on this interpretation...

Perhaps you're the best one to interperet this, pay special attention to the emotions, they can give alot of insight. Perhaps the different settings and clothes you were wearing suggests different times of the same occurance. Perhaps fear of someone getting hurt by letting someone get close to you, even though the closeness is what you desire. You're wearing apparel you are comfortable with in the last scene, so maybe the moral is to be yourself and live in the now and the opportunity to overcome the fear and make it into something positive will come along. Usually the dreams with the most detail can give you the most insight about yourself and your life.

People put on clothing to express a persona.... whether true or false.... thats why you can't always judge someone by the clothing, priest robes, or uniform they were. Not entirely sure what they mean in your context.

Figures that give off that kind of light are usually angelic in nature. Was there any other immpressions of this being's personality that you remember? To me it's not common to see such an angelic being as a light source in normal dreams. I'm only aware of one particular angel that gives off that light color, but I doubt at the same time he has sole rights to that color light.

      More info would be helpful.
