      I've been having a lot of dreams along these similar lines lately;

      I'll have just moved into a new appartment (or sometimes I just believe that it is my appartment) that seems be very insecure. There will be lots of large glass windows facing the street; several glass doors with broken or loose locks, etc.

      I usually start by trying to lock the doors and secure the place, but after some time, the appartment is broken into by gang members or kids. Often they try to trick me by pretending to be friends whilst someone else comes in through another door. Often these people seem more intent on vandalisation or partying than stealing anything.

      On some of these occasions I have become lucid. In these cases I respond to the intruders by showing them friendship, peace and love. I never try to fight them. After this, they become totally different people; respectable, friendly and interesting (sometimes their appearance also changes to reflect this). However, most of these dreams are not lucid and so I do not reach this point.

      Any thoughts on these kinds of dreams? I've had these type of dreams on and off for well over a year now; probably around 20 in total documented and lots more forgotten.

      HOUSE or APARTMENT : Your own approach to something or how you are coping and behaving in general

      INTRUDER : You feel criticised and watched and judged

      Whenever I get intruder dreams they show me being sensitive to the opinions of others about me. I feel in the spotlight. Try to see what triggered this dream. Next time you get it you may indeed see how its relating to real life. Look back to the day before the dream.

      Notice too its a NEW apartment. I often try to sum up a dreams meaning and my best attempt heer would say that "Yesterday I felt my actions and behavior were being put under the spotlight. My new approach was being criticised or I felt that people might be criticising me"

      Dream symbols seem terribly general and lacking in specific meaning. But thats often not the case. Dreams are not so difficult to interpret. Thats because they will generally refer to a specific time period. The day before the dream is very important. Often a dream represents your thoughts and emotions to some incident that happened then or simply your reaction to life in general. Dreams can reflect prevailing emotions. Your dreams will link to the things dominating your mind at that time. If your focus is on work then its likely to be a work dream. If you are thinking about relationships then its likely to focus on that. If you are preoccupied with events that are upcoming then the dream will link to that. If you are paranoid or fantisizing then the dreams may relate to that.
