I haven't, since stumbling and joining this site, had any dreams that struck out to me as symbolic in the least bit, but last night, I had a dream that seemed to be just that. Meaningful.

I know that every dream is contains metaphors whether it be location or whatever, but I don't know what to really pass this dream off as, just another non-lucid dream or something I should get interpreted?

I'll post it so you guys can take a look-

I was at my parents' friend's house sitting around at a large table, drinking. At the table included me, my parents, their friends [who were a couple], and their son who was about 17 or 18.

I should have realized it was dream then since that couple haven't had kids together and I've met their son from the woman's previous marriage.

Anyways, there were two kinds of drinks, one called Livido, the blue drink, and one called Levédo or Levódo, the pink drink. For some reason, I was assuming it was Spanish, a verb at that, and kept trying to conjugate it with Levédó or Levedes... I wonder if that's anything important.

I kept drinking the blue drink, like everyone else. The son of the couple kept trying to offer to refill my drink for me but I refused, I guess it was his attempt to talk with me because he didn't say anything more to me after that.

The dream ended after I went up to the table where the two drinks were, both of them labeled and in clear lemonade pitchers. I decided that maybe it'd be nice to try the pink drink, and everyone watched as I poured it into my clear plastic cup, they had an expression on their faces but I can't really tell you whether it was in horror, surprise, or joy since I caught those actions from the sides of my eyes. I drank it, and I have no clue what happened after that.

Any insight at all, would be great.

Perhaps the Pink drink symbolizes an unknown in your life. Is there anything forbidden or unknown currently inyour life? a Perhaps the pink symbolizs unnacepable and the clear or the other one, the mainstream way. Just a thought. Are you going off the beaten path? As for the boy, (Is he real by the way?) go to him and say he is the guy of your dreams. (jk) but honestly maybe you desire male companionship? Maybe that's what that could mean.

Perhaps the look from everyone symbolizes some fear for yourself, or self confiodence? worrying what others may think...

I hope some of this helps...

      Good Luck

The parent’s friend’s house would indicate a situation in which you could chose to feel protected by a mental attitude and belief system that works in perhaps simply your parents favour or supports those opinions and beliefs that are for your own protection. Such a belief system is productive (the couple and their son) – an idea that your waking reality does not show you (as you know this couple has not had kids)

The drinks can refer to having a thirst, craving or desire for something or to a literal drinking issue (probably of alcoholic drinks) Where pink and blue are seen together it usually refers to the idea of boys and girls. As the drinks are blue and pink, it might thus suggest a desire for something that might satisfy a male if the drink is blue and a female if it were pink. Or – it could refer to actual drinking in a way that we might associate with males (blue) or with females (pink).

By assuming the names of the drinks were Spanish and also a verb, it relates the names with a language – a foreign language. This would imply that the significance or importance of a particular desire or the idea of drinking itself is being seen as foreign to your Inner Self’s nature. Trying to conjugate the verb emphasizes the idea of “action”, which can simply imply that a desire or the idea of actual drinking is an act that one can do or not do. Also one can do it alone or with others as a conjugated verb reveals. {as in I drink, you drink, he drinks, we drink etc.)

As you keep drinking the blue drink, the dream could be suggesting that you see a desire or the idea of drinking as we could associate it with males - perhaps as a guy thing. From a mental perspective you might be seeing the idea that a male would have you keep refilling your glass – this being perhaps a male approach to drinking. (The son of the couple kept trying to offer to refill my drink for me but I refused, I guess it was his attempt to talk with me)

Lemonade is known as a thirst quenching beverage as well as one that is non-alcoholic. The pink and blue drinks both coming out of lemonade pitchers can imply that both males and females could drink as if the drinks are non-alcoholic and meant simply to quench thirst. {This would imply not drinking when not actually thirsty.} Going for the pink drink would imply satisfying either some desire or simply drinking in a way that we can associate with feminine nature. {This might be implying drinking in a way that maintains a lady-like comportment.} While satisfying some desire or simply drinking in this manner may bring up several emotional responses within the Self (horror, surprise or joy), the feeling to manifest is joy.

Wow, I really aprreciate it the interpretations. It really is insightful.

ElizVanZee, your view on it make me wonder about what this dream is specially trying to tell me because I have been known to be a tom-boy in the past [possible reason for why I drank the blue drink that might be associted to males] and am now not what you'd call a girly girl or anything as extreme as that but somewhere comfortabely in between.
The idea of "satisfying either some desire or simply drinking in a way that we can associate with feminine nature" sounds reasonable as well since I typically ignore a fair amount of my needs to aid around the house or just plain out do stuff... I guess this is more of a dream that's telling me to take good care of my feminine self and not perverse back to that roguish old me?

Bro, your view would make sense too, for there are many things that are unknown to me at this point and a few things that are forbidden for me to have [like a boyfriend, my mom's overportective]. As for going off the beaten path, I porbably have a long time ago and never knew it, my 'usual' life has, for about a year now, given me many unusual and out-of-routine things, whether it be in search of my future, my self-esteem, or even something as simple as me skipping out on trips to my father's place. I'm starting to think now that this dream was all about making me realize that my life's different then how it used to be and I got to make with it, go with the flow or get lost in the tide.
