In search of a "Silver temple" - help me interpret

      Something complex

I could recollect few things from a strange dream. It seems to be rainy night, on a hilly road, I’m driving, strangely, a truck like large vehicle. While on the way, got a call from my mom that I should visit a “Silver temple” and so I turned the truck in a road that I feel should go to the “Silver temple” and started going forward. The slope was too steep as my vehicle moved inch by inch up on the heavily stone-led path and finally reached the top. It was the hill top, dense mist flowing and I could realize that I’m moving forward but not by any vehicle and supposedly lost the sense of sitting in or driving a vehicle. On the way there seems to be some animals lying on the steps resembling large but domestic dogs. I carefully maneuver to get past them and then suddenly landed in a plain and it is sunrise time. The place seemed to be a village road and now I realized that I don’t have any vehicle at all. I walked across the road and approached some people standing in a bus stop and enquired about the “Silver Temple” but no one seemed to have any idea about such thing and looked at me strangely. I felt whether is there really a temple or not. And by this time I woke up.

About me, I’m 26 year old, working, male, single and live in India. ?

Whatever the 'silver temple' is, it seems that you are struggling to find something in reality. See...the silver temple is a metaphore relating to something in your own physical reality. It is probably something holy and meaningful, because your mind is identifying it as a temple.

temple's (i'm sure you know, but i write things out to think lol) are usually related to the bonding of heaven and earth. For example, some say that the egyptions built the pyramids with exact mathematical precision in relation with earth to the stars to encapsulate a harmony with the universe. Thus, the temple became a place of god, rather than just a structure.

Maybe you're the silver temple. I guess it depends on what silver represents to you...

Thanks Aeo. That calls for deep thinking. I meant silver in its real sense, the metal.

Still I'm not clear that the thing I'm looking for is sth spiritual. Although, I strongly believe in God, I don't consider myself highly spiritual so as to realise myself as the temple and abode of God.

If I'm the silver temple, then what in the sense of a materialistic world, I am looking for? or I am searching sth that is nonexistant or I'm aiming at sth impossible ? what its real meaning in present situation?

      Can u help me?

I hope that this provides some of the answers you are looking for.

The context of your dream takes place on a rainy night which is symbolic of not seeing a clear vision for the future, but signifies your spiritual rebirth, or awakening – You are about to go through a period of enlightenment, in the God-fearing sense.

The large truck in your dream represents how you view yourself. Perhaps strong, durable, reliable, and may portray a sense of being impenetrable, again in the spiritual sense.

The call from your mother represents her significance as well as her influence on the calling of your spiritual life. She will have an impact on your important journey.

To dream of a temple is symbolic of the actual spiritual awakening itself, which is directly tied to your past. This stems from past discussions of God and religion with your mother.

The path you will travel upon to get to this spiritual place within yourself is a solid and stable path as indicated by the path being made of stone in this dream.

The fact that this path travels up a steep hill symbolizes the difficulty you will have on this road to your spiritual awakening: This will not be an easy journey.

Making it to the top of the hill suggests that you will arrive to this new spiritual awareness without the former perceptions of yourself. You complete this spiritual journey as a completely new person, without the old self. However, the fact that this journey is not complete as indicated by the fact that you are still “moving” even after arriving at the top of the hill and that you see mist coupled with stairs, signifies your inability to see ahead, or to see the long term attributes or consequences of this new mental awareness and how it will impact the rest of your life.

The dogs in your dream suggest emotional obstacles in the wake of this journey. You may be trying to suppress urges that conflict with your new way of thinking.

Landing in a plain, suggests that you will succumb or return to your old ways of doing things. However, you still retain a part of the knowledge and desire you gained when you were traveling upon that spiritual path. You then travel down a village road, one that you recognize; a familiar path leading to a bus stop. Your inquiry of the “Silver Temple” among strangers at a bus stop symbolizes your need to connect with those around you on a spiritual level. I feel strongly that the bus stop in this dream represents your work-place. You describe yourself in the post above as a “working” man. It is obvious that your work is very important to you. Perhaps you will be willing to share what you have learned with those in the work place, but may be rejected on some level.

Because you may be rejected by those around you, you may also start to question your relationship with God or perhaps the insight you gained while on your spiritual journey.

*In summary, this dream is conveying your need to connect with the spiritual nature of God and that you will eventually arrive at a greater spiritual understanding within yourself. However, like any worthwhile journey there are obstacles as well as many ups and downs.

      Hi meetrom,

What you described at the top of the hill is a classic dream transition. You were tempted to pursue a "silver temple" and kept going when the trail got steep and foggy and past the dogs. You completed the transition and "suddenly landed in a plain and it is sunrise time".

Whatever happens or wherever you are after the transition is the "silver temple". Re-examine that part of your dream to find what the dream was trying to show you.
