      girl of my dreams

There is this girl in my dreams named Annasophia. I have called her to my dreams twice and when i go to bed this is what happens. She seems to be distracted by something whether it were boys or something out of the ordinary. I try to get her attention and then something bizarre happens in this case dragons where taking over a school she and i where attending. I was hiding behind a fence. after that happened i was about to cross the street when i saw her. I tried to call her but she seemed to be distracted by someone or something and it was like she was begging to recognize me. that was the second dream i have had of her. the first one i was in a classroom. she was in front of the class while i was in the back calling her name. this time it felt as though they where ignoring me on purpose then after i woke up i called her to my dreams again by forcing my feelings towards her and trying to explain the kind of person i was. And when I went back to sleep I saw her again. I already told you the second dream but my real questions are this. Why am i at an educational place while seeing her. Is she a part of me i am failing to recognize? what is distracting her. Is it many things or one main thing? Any ideas are well appreciated on this topic.

Are you bad with girls? Are you calling to her because you are attracted to her or do you just want her for something? I doubt the setting has much to do with it, however maybe it meant that you were bad with girls in high school or something, even if you aren't now.

You said it's a girl in your dreams, you don't actually know this girl in real life? Do you know anyone named Anna or Sophia? She could be a composite of two girls, maybe you dated both of them and it ended badly?

Not too long ago I had a dream where thousands of berries were in a cave fighting to the death, and one gooseberry won. It drank the blood from all the other berries and became a huge godzilla-like creature, then went on a rampage.

I really wouldn't hope to get much meaning from your dreams, they're pretty nonsensical most of the time.

Well, that is a belief to some, but considering our minds register and process way more information than we are aware of, I think it's very possible that dreams are somehow tied in with this information that's floating around in there. It kind of makes sense that while in a dreaming and in a state in which much rational thought is restrainted, our mind must use other resources available to tell a story. Metaphors and such things may simply be the code in which our dreams speak. A language - hence, the need for interpretation.

I agree that our dreams are greatly influenced (perhaps even created) by our daily experiences, and the things our subconscious registers. However, I somehow doubt that our subconscious is 'trying to tell us something' while we dream. For example, I had been picking berries the day before my dream. That explains the berries, but I don't think there was an underlying 'moral' to my dream.

It's interesting to see where elements of your dream came from, but I think you're giving your subconscious too much credit if you try to find life lessons in them.

Not necessarily life lessons, but perhaps something that you're supressing or some matter that you refuse to address which effects your happiness in waking life.

When people refer to the "subconscious", we seem to think of it as some separate conscious, an alternate personality with it's own thoughts and behavior. But it's really just US, only a part of which we are not aware of - hence, SUBconscious. It effects us in waking life, but we don't realize it. Kind of like auto-pilot.

When we dream, we have access to this part - but it's so cluttered up with extra information and unorganized by our inability to rationalize in our dreams, that it comes across as one big jumbled mess.
