      Dream intuition or reocurring dream???

Anyways, first I will tell you the background for this dream.

I went to sleep last night between 12:30-1:00 am, and I had my alarm wake me for 5:20. So I awoke about 5 hours later in the midst of a dream, so I was able to remember it clearly...

anyways, this is where it gets weird..

I am in some sort of store, I watch this guy come into the store, and say something to the guy behind the counter, and the counter man than grabs him and throws him down, now I know that this is not a good move, because the guy on the ground than stands up and pulls out a knife, now I am in the store too, but I am not scared for my life, because I know exactly what will happen, a knife will fly through the store window and kill the guy with the knife...

I wake up before this happens, because my alarm goes off..

Now help me out here, I have two theories,

Either this is a reocurring dream, and the reason I knew all that would happen because I had the same dream before,
Or, maybe I just tapped into my subconciousness and knew what I was planning next to happen ( cause it is truly us who make our dreams but at a deeper level )..
Semi- lucidity? Dream precognition? Intuition? Reocurring Dream?

      Anyways, just interesting

I wouldn't say it was an Recurring dream just because you haven't dreamt that dream before, right?

So I would say it was you subconscious because we are narrators in our own dreams so, we kind of know already what's going to happen. Same thing with knowing certain things about people in our dream without actually knowing them or talking to them, some how we know all these little background information about situations or people in our dreams.

      Though, very interesting dream

I doubt dream precognition is the point here.

Dreams are comprised of conceptual thought, the most optimal form of thought, the one used by our subconscious. Conceptual thought evolves/progresses far swifter than words, sensory observations, etc., making it possible to dream of living many days or even weeks/months/years within one night.

This in turn makes it tough to tell whether you were really predicting what was about to happen or it really did happen and you simply recalled it in such a fashion.
Though there's also the third option: you dreamed of precognition. After all, anyone that has experienced deja vu knows the feeling of precognition, and thus can experience the feeling in a dream, as part of the dream itself.
