Wish to have a dream openly interpreted

Some of my dreams include being late for work, late for school, didn't study for a test, didn't do the homework but those have really straight forward meanings as fears in my real life.

So I fell asleep for a couple hours and woke up thinking about a dream I had. To me, this particular one is not an awkward dream as they are usually very, very abstract (as much as the next persons of course).

I'm used to having dreams of being isolated and crying. I'll be stranded or hysterically upset about something and it feels way too real.

Anyway, I dreamed that I was in a very tight room and there were two cats in a bath tub. One was drowning as a man watched crying as if he couldn't save it and I stood spectating, confused, and sad as well. Really weird.

I sometimes think its best to throw away a dream dictionary. Just use the ordinary dictionary and then explore the various words meanings in their widest form. See how they could express your current state of mind.. or some insight into your life right now

      DROWN: Unable to cope.

See what issues are too much for you or overwhelm you or others. Think of that word overwhelm and see what it mkakes you think about the day before.

      -----------------------------
The father of modern dream interpretation is not Freud or Jung but rather Jon Winson. But he never made a single dream interpretation. Instead he conducted research into the mind and established that certain brainwaves (theta waves) only appear during the night time. During the day we store up all new experiences and feelings in short term memory. Then at night we start to work through what happened the previous day and we integrate these into long term memory blocks. Then finally we clear short term memory blocks ready to start the process again the next day. Its likely that any dreams we have are linked to these brain functions. The weird images and feelings once deciphered capture our own feelings and new insights into the world around us. So the dreams then will often link to specific events from the day before and to new ways in which our world has been reshaped. It may simply link to our paranoias and fantasies. If we are focused on something about to happen in the near future then the dreams may link to that. Each dream captures one specific feeling or thought process.

Could you be afraid that you'll encounter a situation where you will be helpless to help somebody out, or that you will be in a situation where you are in danger, and the only person able to help you cannot?
Ignorance is a gateway to a world that should never be. Where ifs and buts never were, because nothing ever happens.

Recall of early childhood trauma. Perhaps occasions when you looked around and no-one was there.

The man - possibly someone you expect to be rational etc (you choose) based on your own construct of a man. Men in most people's experiences don't often cry so what could this be saying?

Cats - don't know. Cunning, vulnerable (can't swim IIRC), solitary (there were 2 in your dream - could be significant)...

You identified with the cats and you were confused and sad perhaps because "the man" wasn't there for you?

Vague, but I would suggest sticking with the feeling of sadness and how that would be in real life.

Eh. Sometimes the mind has a delicate way of representing things to you. Some of the stuff above I hope should be able to help you.

The only thing I can get from this is just that basic element of fear. It seems that you're a fearful person, and this is an over encompassing effect of your fear. A confused, helpless fear. Did you get a good look at the face of the man crying?

If you ever have this dream again, look at his face. Report back what you see.
You do this every fucking time.
      No sweat.
      No tears.
      No guilt.
You do this every fucking time.
