"Manuel" (my friend) is standing on his knees on top of a rocky mountain. it is raining at night and he screams and cries desperately very angrily, the place is desert like and he can see the lights of a city in front of him far away, in the dream he feels very sad and desperate

Yup, but don't forget to consider a dream could have no meaning whatsoever.

That's what it means? I never would of guessed that dreams were so specific!

As for the dream, I think it means your friend is feeling lonely about something or is unable to tell something he has been feeling lately. It's probably deeper then that, though.

I agree with Venomblood. Your friend might be feeling isolated on the mountain, looking at the city (other people?) who seem so far away they can't be reached or communicated with. It's like he can see the city lights in the distance, but the people in the city can't see or hear him. The fact that he's on his knees and it's raining probably reflects even more of his emotional state at that time.
