Thread: common but still confusing dream

hmmw ell the thing is, F is a friend. hes my brothers friend and we hung out durign the play. however, during the last week of the play this year i kinda liked this other guy and almost ignored F the whole week, even tho the week before wed been talking. i thikn F interpreted this (in real life) as i was playing 'hard to get' and therefore he tried to talk to me even more. i dont believe that i like him, i mean hes my brothers age and hes a tad immature even tho hes very intellectual and a good friend. but hes jsut a little weird, he tries too hard to get a girl... i dont like him, i thikn i just want to like someone and possibl cause i had been talking to him aalot my subconscious paired us up?

It's possible that you like him, but it's also possible that you don't. Liking him was only one possible interpretation. It's possible the dream meant you simply felt sorry for him; and making him feel better made you happy. Just because making him feel better made you happy doesn't necessarily mean you like him romantically.

The other possibility I noted was that your relationship with him in the dream could represent the union of two psychological traits you have; so it may have nothing to do with F. Instead F may represent a trait you have which you see in him.

Try this. If you were to describe F in one word what would that word be? What's trait describes him the best. That trait that you think of whether it's good or bad represents something you see in yourself. In a way he is your mirror reflection. So the dream may not be about you getting romantically involved with F. The dream may be about a union forming between whatever trait you see in F and yourself. Possibly a trait he has is rubbing off on you and the dream is pointing that out. The romance in the dream may be meant to show you that you are merging with that trait.

That was one of the other possible explanations I was trying to show you.

hmm well i suppose tha tone o fthe first things i would think of him is him being weird. i know that im weird so i dont think thats it.. and he is weird in the sense that hes just awkward to be aaround, but once you get to know him that weirdness isnt as pronounced. maybe thats it? idk..
