the most spiritual dream i ever had - meaning? help?

I have excellent dream recall - i keep a diary of all dreams but one that i will ALWAYS remember but never shared i would like to share with you lot and ask for your help oppinions. It was the most spiritual dream I ever had and im sure i was on a completely different plane of consciousness. I was in a lucid dream and had saw a TV program on meditation and astral projection. I decided to try it. I have tried before. In a LD letting myself go but holding on in my mind I began to float but have always been frightened and woke up before. EXCEPT FOR THIS TIME. I rose up and up there were flying colours and mist then when it cleared I was on some stone steps rising up and up.then i was on what i can only explain as a plateux I thought id died and gone to heaven I was amazed by what I saw. There was a beutifull white palace like the taj mahall or simillar but really really white and glistening. Then I was meat by a beutifull lady. I have no same sex attraction but she was the most beutifull thibng id ever saw. she was dressed in a floaty white toga type dress her feet were bair she lokoed greek of origin with lovely brown long curly hair. She congratulated me on finally arriving and help out a hand and asked me to follow. I did. She led me to a type of cavern where there were cues of people waiting to enter. We got just inside the enterance and i asked where we were going. She said she was taking me to a place of worship. I told her I was not religious and I didnt want to go with her (this has depressed me for years!) she placed out her hand and indicated to the right. You need to be in there then she said. Then I was a dark room but surrounded by what I can only describe as pictures lijke stained glass windows. Vibrant colours everywhere there were images of her and what looked like the christian jesus and the palace outside then when i fell to my knees n awe i woke up. I am not religious and never have been. I never attend church, i wouldnt say i dont believe in god (sorry if i offend) im just not sure. But all I know that for years I think of this dream and i was left wishing i had followed her. It was far from an ordinary dream as i knew what i was saying and doing all the time. what are your thoughts ideas on this.

First, I believe the beginning of this dream symbolizes a recent struggle or situation that you have recently endured. It required much strength and has been very enligthening to your life - as though you have reached a new "plateau" of mental experience.

Now, the interesting thing is the Taj Mahall and the symbology within this.

To better understand this, I'll give a brief over-view of what the Taj Mahal is for those readers who do not know it:

The best way to describe the Taj Mahal is that the Taj Mahal is the largest living monument that tells the romantic tale between an emperor and his love. Taj Mahal is found in Agra along the river Yamuna. The Taj Mahal is one of the greatest attractions to India and is recognized as one of the greatest symbols for love and imagination. But enough commerical material:

The two "love-birds" in this story is the emperor Shah Jehan and Mumtaz Mahal. Mumtaz Mahal died beside Shah Jehan in a campaign against the rebellion in 1631 after giving birth to their 14th child. She asked that he build the Taj Mahal before she died. It is generally believed that the origin of the word "Taj Mahal" (which roughly translates to "Crown of the Palace") is a skewed version of the name Mumtaz Mahal. (My guess would be that her nick name was Taj).

So, we have a building representing romance and love at the plateau of your accomplishment. A beautiful woman (one much like an empress, perhaps?) guides you through the building. When she asks you to come with her, you deny and enter a "dark room" filled with tainted windows and depictions of the woman along with Jesus. Falling in awe, you wake up.

The above translated can be seen as your motivation for spiritual development and envy. However, you feel you cannot yet fully comprehend or fathom the depths of religions (your dream includes several conflicting religions).

If we were to simply look at it as an impressive building with beautiful antiquity, we might see the dream as how you perceive a life of faith to be amazing and wonderful - happy. But you are "in the dark" and left to continue to desire and envy.

My synopsis and best guess is: you have come into a relationship of some sort that has spiritual complications. This may very well be with your mother or just yourself. Although you feel you have a sense of accomplishment in this relationship or have spiritually developed, you do not feel fully prepared to adapt a faith.

      How is this interpretation...?

      taj mahal

am in complete awe of your interpretation. The picture of the taj mahal is exactly how it was. I never knew the story behind the taj mahal and am now intigued. I still hold a picture of the woman in my head although i have never dreamed about her before. I wonder if there are any paintings or pictures of mumtaz anywhere! your interperatation has helped me to go back to what was going on in my life at the time of the dream and I cant really remember embarking into any relationships or anything developing on a level with my mum or anyone. But spiritituality is seeming to be a key with me.( please look at my posts on dreams of water on the beyond dreaming, dream interpretation & dream signs forums.)Spirituality seems to be a huge key in my dreams as im finding out from post replys on this site. Its what to do with this new found spirituality im stuck on. But all i know is that im still wishing i had have been lucid enough to re create the dream and follow the woman - im a natural at ldin but cant seem to get into that one for some reason. Could something spiritual or personal be blocking me and do you think it dangerous for me to continue trying to recreate and follow?

added. Found pics of mumtaj although they are only paintings so i cant tell if this is the woman in my dream.
