I only remember the second half of the dream. I am walking around with Linda. We are at a park and she has Kathy’s kids with her. We are playing and decide to follow a trail. As we are ‘hiking’ a swarm of bugs comes at us. One of them grabs my right hand and starts to pinch it. The kids are all laughing at me. Bear bites at the bug and pulls it off. I pinch it’s head off. Later, the kids are telling their parents what happened and Neal calls the bugs flying chrysanthemums.<o:p></o:p>

Warning<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<st1:State w:st="on">Nevada</st1:State></st1:place> in a prostitution house. It is called prostitution but nobody has sex. Everyone just sits around and feels sad and drinks or takes drugs. They all feel unloved and cheated by life. Some are watching TV. Others encourage me to watch TV with them but it is stupid and boring. The owner of the place decides to have everyone killed. I overhear the plans and try to warn the people there. But they won’t go. There is banging on the door and it is the hired killers. I get out because I am looking for a way out. But I don’t remember how I do it.<o:p></o:p>

In this dream Linda, Patricia, and I are talking with each other. We discuss several topics but keep coming back to “Men and Women.” We all talk about men and how good and bad they are. Linda uses John as an example and describes all of the help she gave him. She states that she “almost chewed his food for him.” I wonder why we get so attached and then I air problems of my own. I need help but I know that Linda has to move on with her life. I know that I will be fine because of the previous dream. Pat talks to us for a while. Then Linda talks about “no one has ever given the same kind of effort to me.”

I am with my family for some type of party or event. I tell people that I work for CPS and what it is like working there. Someone comments that this is an agency and as such it is designed to take away the rights and freedoms of the public. All of this is taking place at mom and dad’s house. Another sibling comments that I will be with the organization for life. Then I am questioned about why I am living with mom and dad. I try to explain. To entertain the kids we go to a dinosaur site.

I am in an old school building that has been remodeled. Vickie B, Wendy, and Edna Z are all there. They have been watching me and are ready to tell me how well I am doing. They turn to a man for an explanation of me and my behavior. He tells them, “A real one got mixed in with the constructs.”

In this dream I am in Ron’s old house in front of the big window. Outside it is dark. There is a chain link fence around the property and the yard is full of dead plants. Mike and Bob from S Mountain are there and Linda is there too. I’m not sure about Vickie and Donna being there but I have a vague sense that they are. I am getting remarried and they are all giving me advice. Then there is a loud boom and we all turn to look out the window. War has started and it is the end of the world.

In this dream I am meeting Linda and the Women at a restaurant for dinner. I am wearing a floral dress with puff sleeves and a little ruffle and lace. I arrive in my truck and park carefully (like Ron.) There is a man in the parking lot who might be Jim. He asks me, “Is this what you really want?” and warns me that I might not be ready. I go into the restaurant and find that the others are already there. As I am walking toward the table a man stops me by putting his hand on my arm. He says he wants me to have dinner with him. I tell him that I am meeting someone else and try to move on. He is now more forceful and holds my arm and pulls me towards him. He smiles says maybe I didn’t understand him. He isn’t just offering me dinner he wants me to always be with him and he doesn’t understand why I’m being difficult. I again explain that I’m meeting someone else and could he please let go of my arm. Sue gets upset and starts yelling at me to give him what he wants. I felt scared before but now I am hurt by his actions and Sue’s words. I push his hand away saying, “Excuse me,” and stare at Sue and say, “I see.” Then I turn around and leave the restaurant.

I can still recall this dream. I was very upset that Sue yelled at me like that. I just am not ready to get into a relationship.

July 1994

Asteroids<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p>
I live and work in the asteroid belts near Mars. I operate a rock crusher for the Conglomerate. One day while I’m at work I come across some mutated rock which is hard to comprehend. How does rock mutate? There is a metal virus ‘feeding’ by leaching the ore out of the asteroids.<o:p></o:p>
The virus kills us humans because we are competing for the ore. It takes a while to identify the virus and realize it is attacking us. This virus can colonize and break apart as needed. It comes from another galaxy/universe. Some learn how to copy human forms and talk. It eventually destroys the mining ‘colony’ and attacks Earth.<o:p></o:p>
There is trouble convincing authorities that the danger of the virus is real. They try to cover up the invasion. This gives the virus needed time to grow in mass to a necessary invasion size.<o:p></o:p>
A group of us workers, 5-6 women, succeed in getting to Earth. We are looking for a scientist who is capable of creating an antivirus serum to combat the invading force. He and his family are being hidden at a resort by gov’t officials. We work secretly at the resort to search for the scientist. I find his daughter and she leads me to him. Together we are able to fight the virus. But it is too late. In a last effort the virus gathers into a giant metal monster and rips the planet apart.<o:p></o:p>

Linda W and I drive to <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com</st1:place><st1:State w:st="on">California</st1:State>. We are there to pick up a vehicle of some type (van) to take back to <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:State w:st="on">Arizona</st1:State></st1:place>. Throughout the trip we tell jokes and stories about John.
Anyway, we get to this area along the coast where there is an observation point to look at the ocean. We have to walk a long ways and hike up a cliff to get there but we decide to do it and have a lot of fun. From the observation point we see a restaurant and decide to have dinner up there. We have to hike again and get to the restaurant.
It is full of people but when we get there they have gone to another area. We are greeted by the staff and they ask us what kind of meal we want. We order drinks and dinner and are seated in an outdoor area. We can see some people inside.
A man Dennis(?) comes over and asks us, “What is the meaning of time?” And I say “Time is meaningless. Time is important only to man. Time exists only in the mind of man.” Linda Wr comes over and Suzanne is also there. We sit and talk about stuff. Then Kevin(?) comes over and asks me to dance. I have a cast on my foot. But I dance with him anyway. Then we walk over to another table. I am invited to go inside but I have to leave Linda W behind. I don’t know what to do. They start talking to me about not having fear and that betrayal only has meaning to me. A woman comes out and talks to me telling me that Linda W has her life and I need to live my life.

This dream is a repeat and carries a message. I know it’s a repeat because of what I know from the first time. It’s possible I might have met Linda before I had the dream but I didn’t know Suzanne or Linda Wr. And I didn’t know this much about John at the time.<o:p></o:p>

I am at a family reunion. Wylene is asking me about my being on a schedule to talk to someone about an issue I have to bring up. Joe is looking at some kids doing handicrafts and he is doing his usual thing where he tests and judges others. Later, I am driving down a road. Nedra is in a car in front of me and she runs a red light. We tease her about her driving habits.

Joanna, Erlinda, and I are at a new mall. I have seen this mall before in another dream. Faye shows up while we are shopping and asks us why we are playing hooky. We try to make up excuses but it doesn’t work. A man comes up to me and we start talking. He talks to me about choice and control. He says that there is no choice anymore that everything is controlled. I ask him about voting and he says especially voting. Then I am in a voting booth and there are guards with dogs.<o:p></o:p>
There is music in the dream but I do not recognize the artists or the songs. I realize as I am writing done the dream that he is teaching me about manipulation.

I am at the Auto License office on <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<st1:Street w:st="on">51st Ave.</st1:Street></st1:address> and <st1:place w:st="on"><ST1Indian </ST1School</st1:place>. I need to get some paperwork done and Faye tells me I have to get in line like everyone else. As I am waiting in line I realize that I forgot the chocolate. I’m not sure why but I needed to bring some chocolate. I guess I’m having lunch out with the gang. Anyway, I end up calling my roommate for help. I think her name is Penny. She is kind of short with brown hair. Anyway, I offer to buy her lunch if she will bring the chocolate.

I am on a university campus. I don’t know which school. I’m not sure if I’m visiting someone or teaching a course. Linda is also there. Some crimes are taking place. We are trying to solve the mysteries. Vandalism, thefts, a murder are all connected. I discover that Gina is involved. A drug scam? She talks to me about street life and how people don’t understand. I feel like I should be able to help her but I don’t know how. I feel like she is trapping me and I have to walk away from her.

I am talking to someone about books especially a series based on “Emeralds of Eor.” The person I’m talking to doesn’t really care for science fiction. We talk about writing and creating characters and how authors always put themselves into their stories. We discuss how ‘you write about what you know.’ Then I find myself in the books and I am living the story.

A private eye and thief meet in a mall. They know each other. They talk about old cars on display especially the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<st1:City w:st="on">Hudson</st1:City></st1:place>. Later, on the street they meet some street kids. We learn about excellence out here among these kids. One of the gang is a rapper that sets codes by rapping into a speaker. They share tricks on how to defeat alarm systems.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p>
This would be a good Sterling Chick story.

In this dream Sterling(?) is searching for some test mice that have escaped/released from a lab. The mice might be diseased but I’m not sure. Two cats find and ‘protect’ them. The cats belong to a young child 5 or 6 and the kid shows everything to the PI. Other are also looking for the mice - hit men, gov’t agents, and tabloid reporters.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com<img src=" /><o:p></o:p>

Again the point seems to be about superior behavior.

I am in LA and for some reason I volunteer to buy drugs for a party. I’m not sure that I’m doing the buying or driving someone else that is buying. We get stuck in traffic and I have to turn around. The sellers are Hells Angels. They are unhappy that I had traffic difficulties. We finally make our ‘connection.’ One of the guys is willing to take sex instead of money but it has to be with me. I can tell that he would be able to teach me and I talk to him about what he is willing to do. Then I am at a bachelor auction and I am bidding on Pierce Brosnan.

Ron(?) is having problems with impotence. He insists that I am causing his impotence. He goes out searching for help and picks up Elle but she won’t follow through. Janet is helping by entertaining for Ron.

There is a lot of fussing about what is dirty and what is not. We go about men and men, and men and women. There is also some said about money and what is or isn’t prostitution. I seem to be on some kind of tour and the discussion is among members of the tour group.

Ron is having trouble with his girlfriend. He is talking to me; crying on my shoulder, so to speak. We are at the library and I am skinny. He propositions me and them realizes what he has said and takes it back. We have a good time just being together. Theresa is there and she is talking about and setting an alarm system. Ron is restless. He needs to move on. Will he?

This dream also has music from the EM tape. I’m not sure why but I called this my library dream.<o:p></o:p>
