We break the

Some very mixed emotions, two glasses of champagne, 3 hours of sleep, and a recent obsession with Harry Potter books left me with mere traces of dreams upon waking. I made this list, but I can only feel the memory of them in the peripheral of my consciousness. |

The less sleep I get, the harder it is to recall the dreams I do have. Harry Potter was again the focus of my dreams last night. I hope I remember not to read any Edgar Allen before going to bed. I can't even recall any fragments--just that my dream involved Harry Potter. This is what I get for only sleeping for two and a half hours. |

How am I supposed to dream without a decent night's sleep?! |

I was in the media center, and there was a girl there--I think her name was Victoria. She wanted to help me, but I had nothing for her to do, so she started following me around everywhere. I told her to leave me alone, and then everything went dark. |

I was reading a book, but though I knew I was reading, it was like I was there myself. A guy and a girl (dating, I assumed) were at a fair or carnival or circus, something like that. The girl asked the guy why he hadn't kissed her yet. She playfully hit him on the arm, and then he kissed her. |

Most certainly as a direct result of falling asleep with my radio on, I dreamed that I watched Eminem perform "Lose Yourself" only feet away from me. I was there, but it was kind of like I wasn't. Like the book thing from my previous dream, I felt slightly detached, as if I could have been watching it on television. |

I was checking in books like I do at the library, only I was in a semi-dark office. The books were all these "Young History" books that we have. They're blue and white and they tell childhood stories about famous people from history (Albert Einstein, Davy Crockett, etc.). They were on a cart, and I was scanning them, but they all had "McKnight" on them, which is the last name of a student who comes into the library during her recess a few times during the week. As I was scanning, the whole McKnight family showed up and we started talking. Then they left, and I got a new cart, but all the books said "Anderson." |

I was filling in for some blonde woman. It was an overnight job, and she had this timecard that seemed like wood. It had black writing on it with each hour of the day blocked off in a column. I went up to this window, and she walked with me. She told me I'd do fine, and then left. A brunette behind the glass burned the time into the timecard. The job wasn't really any job at all. I just stood there and listened to another blond talk for 12 hours. In my dream, I did this for three days: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. |

I was in an office in a tall building, and I was somewhere in the middle of it. There were big glass windows, and it was dark gray and cloudy outside. There was a guy in there with me, packing up his things like he was leaving. He gave me all of these sound recordings he had been working on, left me with some tips, and sadly wished me the best. Just then, someone ran up the stairs and told us the Quidditch match was in jeopardy because one of the teams was missing. After a frantic search, we found them. They had been sprayed with red paint and hidden by the Slytherin team. |

I didn't sleep all that well last night. I have only traces of memory: it had something to do with my parents, especially my mom, and a manatee. |

I was in a room, like a lecture room, and my cousin Bridget was making some kind of presentation. There was this glass instrument on a wooden table that caused the paper she was discussing to be blown up as big as the wall and lit from behind, like some kind of bewitched overhead projector. As she started to nervously speak, I somehow came to the realization that the paper she was presenting was one that I had written. I was extremely angry and alerted everyone to the fact. A teacher in a robe quickly jerked the paper off of the glass, and somehow replaced it with Bridget's real paper. Her real paper contained a handful of words in huge lettering that clearly indicated she either hadn't spent any time on her paper or was incapable of doing it. I was kind of stunned. She was embarrassed, but I didn't care because I was still angry she had taken my paper in the first place. |

I was with Hermione (yes, yes, more Harry Potter), and we were working on something, though I'm not sure what. I know I was trying to cast an aging spell that wasn't working quite right, and she was working on a potion which sat in a smoking medium-sized cauldron on a wooden table. We were surrounded by books, and it was dark except for a lamp and a couple of candles. I looked up with wide eyes and said Hermione! in a hushed half-frustrated, half-awed voice. |

I was standing in a long hallway talking to the President of Young Magic. He was wearing golden robes and was only about 19 years old, but was much taller than me. He was very calmly telling me that I was being banned for using magic in public. I was scared and angry and started crying. I woke up shaking my head. |
