      Sweet Dream's Journal of Dreams

I'm restarting this journal as of August 7th, 2008.

Each post will either be another night's dream, or just my commentary on the dreams. I'll make note on a post if i do something different with it.

Since this is public, please feel free to view and comment, or even analyze if you'd like. I don't mind it if you decide to say nothing at all too =)

something about my little brother, he's with me in the city. i remember it was a place full of guys, and buildings, skyscrapers, and offices. i think i was the only woman there. busy place. i remember goin on the elevator with him and it just kept going up and up higher and higher, andi remember thinking about how long it is taking as if i was used to it but that i knew it was strange for elevators to keep going so fast and so high and for so long. i leaned back and rested my head on the wall and closed my eyes as the elevator kept elevating us. it reminded me of vanilla sky where tom cruise was in the elevator with the man who was teaching him about lucid dreaming. even though i had my eyes closed, i somehow "saw" how high we were moving up and the view of the sky and land being amazing.

when we finally got off of the elevator we went into a room that looked like a computer lab and we headed for 2 empty seats. my little brother was younger and smaller. he was around 11-13 and he always spoke nonverbally to me in the dream. so i sat close to him on my own computer and i turn to him and he was unhappy about how his seat was so high and he found it uncomfortable. so he turns to me expressing his dissatisfaction and frustration on how this could ever change. and i simply reach down his chair and do what we normally do to bring the chair down. and his chair lowered slowly, and as it lowered he got happier until he was so excited he started acting silly. it made me smile and i felt like i just did something that he thought was amazing, even though in real life he deals with equipment and tools far more than i do.
i kept having some interested guys look at me which was very annoying, but i felt comfortable with myself and my brother was my number 1.

then there was this time where i was at some house with a few of my cousins. SH had dyed her hair and streaked it with blonde, her hair was to the shoulder, a bit higher, and she seemed happy and very active. i was surprised she was so friendly and caring to me by asking me if i wanted to dye my hair she'll get me a bottle and dye it for me. i said thanks but i like my hair's natural hair colour and i didn't want to dye my hair. HS was also there and i remember SA was there too for a while. they were all nicer which i found really strange because in real life we're not close at all. i also saw MDY who i still didn't see in real life in years.

overall i felt generally really good, but that i wanted something that people were constantly distracting me away from, in both of the 'scenes.'

i had another dream with the same cousins involved. I couldn't really remember it, probably has something to do with sleeping for only about 3 hours.

      COMMENTS:
what's strange is that these past few dreams are only small fragments of a dream. and usually i remember much more. it's probably the sleep change then? i guess o_o i'm getting fed up of writing my dreams for more than a month now with no lucid dreams yet experienced. I read Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming but didn't finnish it, and i'm doing reality checks though not in a particularly strategic fashion, nor am i utilizing any technique that help to acquire lucidity.

I'm gonna practice the MILD this week and see how that works with me. In addition to that I'm gonna adjust how i test reality to make sure i'm doing this thing right.

Thank God I Became Lucid Again!

I can't believe that the last time i slept I became lucid!
      THREE TIMES!!!

      Woaaaaaaah!!! hahaha

      LUCID DREAM
when i became lucid, I remembered a lot of the things i read here on DV and wished I read the "what to do when lucid" thread, haha, which i will do now. Wehen I did my RC (nose pluggin) I couldn't believe that it was a dream because everything looked so real just like real life. So I kept doubting it and kept RC'ing repeatedly in amazement LOL I thought "dammit, I don' tknow what to do, I wish i read the 'what to do when lucid' thread. Ugh! Now what? I want to be somewhere else, how can I get there. I'll spin!" And then I kept spinning and saying "I'm dreaming!", and because I was so conscious of spinning, I kept falling over LOL just like I would in real life. aaah, so funny.

I went over to my room where my sister was, and I told her, "Hey! I'm dreaming!" and she looks at me and says in the most sarcastic and uninterested way "Yeah *rolls eyes* I'm sure you are." And I tell her "Yes I am, I swear!" And she says "You're not dreaming OK!" I said "Yes I am. Ok, maybe I'm not. Hold on."
I know she has a mole on her face, so I looked at her face, and started doing a reality check on her mole (I know, weird). So I looked at it, turned away, and looked back again very quickly, and it always shifted place about 2millimeters. so I said "HAh! Gotcha!! And yes, I AM dreaming!"
      Sis: whatever.

i just want to point out that i said that i will try the MILD but i really didn't. however, i did keep up the reality checks which i guess have helped a lot =)

what i think is significant was that before i slept i recalled someone on DV saying that they remembered 3 long dreams from his first attempt at dream recall, and i remembered my goal of having at least 1 lucid dream before august 30th. then i thought to myself that i still didn't have a lucid this month, but it's still possible, and i was just really positive and intended to recall lots of dreams.

so, yay! (: i broke my 2 year lucidity block woohoo!
      more lucids to come!!!

      Exclamation I'm back!

I've been away from DV and LD for over 4 months. Finally signed back in today.

I have been journalling in my DJ but quit it for the most part for nearly 2 months. Still, not bad. I went back to journalling again a few weeks ago. Doing good in that department but lately (3 days)from being so busy I didn't care for recalling much of the dreams I've had. And if I woke up feeling like I've had a bad dream I do my best not to remember it.

Ok, I can't remember what I dreamt last night but it felt alright. I slept in the morning though, hehe.

No lucids since my last ones . didn't pay attention to my dream signs either, I don't know why I keep overlooking that. I just care more about journalling my dreams than figuring out the recurring stuff, esp. since I'm tyring ot keep it up.. i completely forget about my LD goals lol

Oh well. I have lots of dream records to go through which is awesome to start off with!

This year is gonna be a lucid one.
