Avalanches , Polariods and firefighters.
I was in a game shop looking at a plasma screen, it was advertising a new game, what the game was i can't really remember but it looked very cool and scary.
i ended up buying a ratchet and clank game for ps3, which i somehow managed to get to play on my xbox360.
I was with 3 other people in the game, it started very simply, jumping onto platforms picking up weapons and just generally "cook'n fools "
we moved onto an area surrounded my canyons, we stood in awe for a few seconds and took in the surroundings only to be interrupted by a deep low rumble.
An avalanche of rocks and sand cascaded down the rocks and came steaming toward us, we ran to the right narrowly avoiding the sandy river although, the sand was gradually rising in level, we attmepted to climb up a tunnel in the rocks to our right only to be cut short and pulled under.
Game over.
It appeared that when you died in this game that was it , you could never play the game again, i asked my dad if he could take it back to the shop "as long as you find the reset" he said.
I began in my parents bedroom rummaging through drawers and cupboards, for some reason now desperate i began looking in CD cases, i stumbled upon an old looking one.
I Opened it to find a treasure trove of old looking badges and stickers, i remember thinking how retro they looked and how good they would look on my wall, on closer inspection i found a small booklet filled with Polaroid pictures scraps and scribbles of un tidy writing, things began to take a disturbing and creepy turn.
In one of the pictures it showed a closeup of the body of an old man in shallow water with strange transparent blue goo coming from his mouth.
In another one showed a white skinned gargoyle creature with fists for eyes, some just of its face and other of it towering over people, ready to attack.
Other showed deformed children in wheel chairs sat around a washing machine, completely fixated on it, eyes bulging.
The scene changed and i now found myself in a fancy foreign restaurant rehearsing a scene for YD.
For some reason i couldn't understand what the director wanted me to do and in which order, it involved me handing over a bowl of porridge to and from "Jonno".
I went and sat opposite to "bighead" asking him if he knew what the hell we had to do, while he explained i noticed two stalls behind him,
in one a group of students were having a great time, one was serenading the other with what looked to be a guitar with a cup instead of the main body.
in the other stall the complete opposite was happening a black young couple were having an argument which was gradually getting worse , the couple began throwing pots at each other until the man eventually kicked woman out of the stall, 2 burly security men came over and attempted to attain him but not before he tipped a glass of something over the table top and threw a lighter onto the surface, setting it alight, along with himself.
A few seconds later a group of firefighter ran in.
I now found myself watching a movie about the firefighters and their struggle to fight the fire, somehow there was a malfunction with there hoses causing a huge surge of water.
In slow motion a huge wave of water wiped them out.
"thats like what happened to me in my dream last night" i said along with 3 other people at exactly the same time, we glared at each other for a few seconds and i thought to myself "this proves shared dreaming is true" and then of course, i woke up.
