So here we go: I'm new to this stuff, though I have stumbled into lucidity in the past by chance. I started my journal a few days ago but I'll post todays dreams for a start. These may seem random...................... mostly because they are. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dream no.1 This one was one dream which basically divided into two parts. The first part was a scenario where myself and my best friend were for some reason living in America (I'm Irish). He was living in Florida and I was down south. We worked on some sort of gameshow featuring a panel of judges. I recall talking about pets and deciding to move to New York. (Thinking about that now, I wish I could have picked up on the blatent sign that I was living on a different continent.......... but I made up some sort of crap reason in my head). Part 2 of that dream (prepare for randomness) This was basically to do with the video game "Command and Conquer 3", which I had played last week. It involved some sort of war, where to end it we had to destroy weird "towers". In the end, the war was ended when President Bush destroyed the last two towers (located in Africa I think) in a plane, Condoleeza Rice was there aswell. (I just realised that sounds all 9/11 ish in a conspiracy type way but hey, thats what I dreamt.) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dream 2 I'll keep this one brief. This started off with me in a well known club in Dublin city. I remember feeling unhappy, so I left - and as I departed I bumped into loads of random people from my school. I ended up trying to get home and running for the bus with my aforementioned friend. I felt like I was being slowed down by some invisible force but eventually made it to the bus. From there I somehow warped into this supermarket where I waited for an old friend of mine to be finished with his shopping. I had an intense feeling of wanting to get home. I woke up to a bad head cold, sadly not a false awakening. Anyway, thanks for reading - comments welcome.

Day two of my Dream Diary - I attempted a FILD but failed mostly because o the bad head cold I had. I did manage to record two of the dreams I had though - and I think I have identified a definite dream sign. Dream no. 1 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- This one began as me dreaming that I was going to see pirates 3 with a friend of mine. I was enjoying it - but he was bored and so we left early. It turns out as we were leaving the cinema, the rest of my class were also leaving early. We left the cinema and ended up in the school yard of my primary school (which is weird because I am in secondary school). Anyway, we had this circle of friends type meeting where I complained about a different class in our school. We got on this bus (a double decker, I sat with my friends on the top floor) - and the bus started speeding through this city at a crazy pace. I felt like I was going to fall off. My friend who featured in yesterdays two dreams was sat next to me so I'm labelling him as a dream sign. After more driving we ended up playing soccer in our hotel room with a tiny ball and watching a film which I remembered seeing before. I then woke up. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dream 2 This dream was a short one (lucky for you). I dreamt I was on my way to my families aprtment in Spain. On the way in I showed some backpackers the way to their camping site. I walked into the apartment and showered, then got some breakfast. I sat outside and there was a girl I remembered from Spain there. My brother joined us for breakfast and that was that. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm going to try a FILD tonight, when I hopefully won't have such a bad cold.

Ive had a similar dream to the bus one before.......and your pirates of the carribean one reminds me i need to go and see it! Good luck with the dream journal!

I haven't had the chance to use the net till now but here it is. Yesterday I noted three dreams - or three versions of the same dream. (I'm in a bit of a rush, so I'll summarise). Each dream revolved around a train journey to a sports competition. In the first dream I managed to get there after several trains, and lost the game. In the second dream I neglected to pay for one of the trains so I spent the rest of the dream being chased by the conducter. In the final dream we took a few trains and ended up wandering around one station until I woke up. I had a really bad sleep last night however and only recorded one dream which I won't bore you with here. Finally, I'm having trouble FILDing. It makes perfect sense to me - however I always seem to be too tired to make an effective attempt at say 3am. I'm going to get up out of bed for a few minutes this time before attempting it in order to try rustle up some more enthusiasm. Anyways, that's it for now.

Another quick record of last nights dreams. Dream no 1. (This one is huge so I'll summarise - it took up three pages in my journal.) In this dream we set out for my friends house (He has featured in next to all of my recent dreams, which is weird - but at the same time good because that would make him a dream sign). We had dinner and I talked to his Dad for a while, he seemd angry at me for some weird reason. We then set off on a trip up North where we stayed in a bar owned by a guy from my class. I peed on one of the walls and he got pretty mad. The dream skips forward to a court scenario where I have to defend my peeing on the wall - in the end I give a rousing speech and win over the audience. At the end of the dream I enter the bar again, where I am told by the aforementioned friend that I got so drunk the previous day that I passed out and couldn't remember any of that day. Suddenly, a girl behind the bar is attacked and I later hear that she had to have a lot of reconstructive surgery for it. I felt bad, then woke up. Dream2 This dream involved me having some sort of mission where I had to destroy a house. To summarise - I bumped into some street kids who helped me do the job James Bond style. (then I woke up). -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thought I'd mention that I'm having difficulty FILDing. I set my alarm for 3 or so and must be half-asleep or something because I can never manage it. I'm going to put myself up for "adoption" after the two-week period.

Only in dreams could someone give a rousing speech about peeing on a wall. Or possibly in a Police Academy movie.:p

I'm on the debating team in school - that dream is my best speech so far! Ok - dream wise - stuff isn't quite looking up, but I'll stick at it and put myself up for adoption when the time comes. I recorded only one dream today, I'm having difficulty remembering any of them - I think it's due to my new job. I still did manage to record one this morning though. Dream 1: This one was set in the country home my family used to own in Leitrim. An old best friend of mine were running in the field as it came up to late afternoon, I remember looking up at the sky and thinking "wow". Anyway - it came up to dinnertime and there was not enough cooked for everyone so my Mum handed me a menu for a local pizza place. I felt guilty about spending her money but ordered some pizza anyway, before waking up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Again - I tried FILDing last night with no luck. I woke up at three AM and it took me too long to get back to sleep so that by the time I did get to sleep I wasn't trying to FILD anymore. Does anyone know of an alternative to the "playing a piano" technique?

Ok - so I've been away a while - but still recording my dreams as best I can. Nothing out of the ordinary - except for Froday night - my first LD since I joined!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It went like this. The dream started off with me as a rich guy. I lived in this cool house which was basically one huge indoor swimming pool. There was this slide with a ladder and myself, some friends and some beautiful women were frolicking around. I spent a little while chatting up the ladies and using the pool when my agent came. We discussed what work he had for me and I wasn't happy when he said all he had was ads for me to do. I told him I wanted to do TV or film and to come back when he had something for me. I then met him outside his office where he gave me some good news. I then when inside with my "crew" and watched some tv. Suddenly something clicked and I realised I was dreaming. I got excited and things started to fade. I realised this and stared hard at the tv. This quickly clarified everything and I started my journey. I decided to try and summon up an old friend. At first I tried t just wish them next to me but that didn't seem to be working so I "scheduled" a meeting around the corner. Voila! Around the corner I go and presto she is there. We talk for a while before I try to summon up someone else with the same strategy. It only half-works this time as when she shows up she suddenly turns into some sort of beast and attacks me. I woke up. My first LD, a DILD. Since then I had a few other normal dreams I have noticed, like one where two thugs held up my house and I grabbed one of their guns and we had a shoot-out, or another were I played Donkey Kong country for a while.
