MARCH 2, 2008
Yes it took me a while to post a new entry, mainly because of laziness, but here I am awake at 4:00 in the morning with a dream that almost played out like a movie.
I can't believe that I met the girl of my dreams the same day as I beat a marathon in a 200 foot deep Olympic sized outdoor pool, and the day Sarah the woman in the wheelchair fell in and drowned. There I was swimming these amazing laps that I thought I would never be able to do. The wind brushing against my hair as I took every stroke. The crowd around me in amazement as the summer sun beat down on their faces. They were cheering for me, actually for me. I noticed the immense depth below me, and could taste the chlorine as I inched closer to the edge. I was winning and no one could stop me now.
As I reached up from the crimson pool I cheered and started to walk around the side of the pool. The crowd plummeted me with cheers and handshakes as they placed the winning metal around my neck. Today was the day that the county fair was in town as well. I had to get out of town and get to my home county to eat the caramel apples and cotton candy while chatting with my friends.
I hadn't looked away for three seconds when Sarah, the woman that I invited to see me swim fell out of her wheelchair into the deep water. She gasped for air as swimmers and fans rushed to the scene to help her, but all I could do was look in terror as they were saying, "She's gone." The water was too deep and she didn't make it. All they could grab with their metal poles was the wheelchair as her body sank to the depths.
I was in shock and horrified as I walked solemnly to my car. And that's when I saw her the beautiful 20something girl with long black hair that was heading my way. She was with another girl with short blonde hair and they were chatting it up. I smiled and decided to not let this one get away. The two of them sat down on a park bench and I decided to talk to them. She told me her name was Terra and she was in town to see the games. I asked her if she would like to fly with me back to my town for the county fair, and she agreed. I couldn't believe it. I actually had a date with a girl that was this beautiful. s was like a goddess. It made all my other problems just melt away.
We decided to hit up the local clothing store, so she could buy a nice summer dress for the fair. As we walked and talked I noticed that we had lost track of where we were in the store and ended up in the back section of the store where they hold all of the clothing that hasn't been put on the racks yet. I looked up at the giant iron Gridwork that held up storage above our head. We saw another couple making out up top and that's where she wanted to make out at. I told her no because I didn't want us to fall off and get hurt. Suddenly she noticed we were lost and couldn't get out. Terrified she started yelling for help and we just went deeper into the maze of storage boxes and concrete walls. Wherever we were it wasn't cool. That's when I noticed the loading docks where the semi trailers backed into the store and I helped her climb out and into the sunlight. This is when we made out. I kissed her with so much passion. She was glad I saved her.
At the county fair Terra was becoming distant. I was terrified she was going to find someone else and I would loose my opportunity to ask her on a further date. She was running all over the fair going from ride to ride with different chick friends without me. I tried desperately to keep up, but it was like she was on a mission to find someone else to talk to. Maybe it was just my jealously, but I knew in my heart that the passion we felt was soon going to be over. That's when we were at the dunking booth and her and a few other girls were planning to get soak and wet. She kissed this other girl and told me she was BI, but she still wanted to be with me. I laughed and told her that was alright, and they dunked into a giant vat of water filled with hair color and she came out a red head. That's when the water splashed all over me and a giant flood of different colored water surrounded me in a giant ball of everlasting Technicolor.
It was a wierd dream, but I had to post it. I think it has something to do about the warmer temperatures we're getting here where I live at, and my urge to start swimming again. Sarah the woman in a wheelchair is a lady that used to always come into my job every night to order food. She was crazy and always had stories to tell about this town back when she was a young woman.
