Ok... last night. A bit late to write down, but have to start sometime.
I only had 5 hours sleep, so wasn't expecting much

Suprisingly I managed to remember one dream. Vague though.
As my dreams often do lately, it started in a game of Thief 3.
I was looking for something silly.. what was it again... ummmmm... dammit!... this is why you should write dreams down early in the day.
Something funny like 'a way to extend the dream'... ah.. no... it was 'a way to sleep longer'... thats it. Silly .. hehe... wasting all that time looknig when I could simply have been sleeping, or doing something useful.

Anyway... sneaking around a city somewhere like in Thief 3. Somehow I knew that Je33ica was in my dream somewhere also looking for it.
Strange. No offence, but you're not normally in my mind enough to warrant being in my dreams

And thats about all I remember.... not much at all
I'll get some decent sleep tonight! Better entry tomorrow

Ok.. Ok.. I lied. Only got 6 hours this time

Remember 2 dreams all the same. Almost forgot one of them...

1 - Unnamed Naked Friend
This one included a friend of mine, nude... so before I mention names, I want to get permission first

The dream was that I was watching a video of someone. I was the invisible camera in the video, and could move around. My first movie dream I guess

The person in question was in the entranceway/hallway of a house. And dancing around and singing. Topless.
Not bad .. not bad at all...

I was semi lucid. Very low level stuff.
Good though!

2 - Snippet of a taffing trick
My subconscious was messing with me again (this all started when I pissed it off, btw).
And this was in the thief 3 world again.

I was in front of a nicely decorated metal design door. I opened it, and found a table with a note on it.
So I read the note (I can read well in dreams)... and it says 'You're a prick!'

Hehe... find it amazing that my subconscious can have a sense of humour...

Whoops - forgot yesterday
No worries, I didn't recall a single bloody dream. I tried a WILD, but my cats were being SERIOUSLY restless !
Woke after 5 hours (one hour early due to cat). Tried to wild for ages, and kept being interrupted (by cats)
Eventually gave up and cut my losses... But no dreams
Gave the cats a free flying lesson during all this...

Oh.. onto today... 2 dreams, but nothing lucid. And nothing normal either.
My wife is back, and piled with blankets (affects my awareness).

I told her about LDGuy's self hypnosis technique. When we went to bed she wanted me to 'talk her through it'. Tried to explain that I don't see that working... but she said 'just for the kicks'. I told her to do the count to 100 thing with her breathing. And visualising the number. I dont think she got beyond 20 actually.

No suprise really, she was real tired, and had her arms around me. Not really helpful for the technique. And sorry to say, this sort of thing might take her longer than usual to get right.
At least she might be taking *some* interest.

1 - Witch come Harry Potter
This one was really wierd, and difficult to tie down on paper (hehe.. can imagine it wriggling and screaming while tying it down)

It was sort of a camera/movie dream, in that I saw things from another perspective, and didnt seem to be the characters. I had a bit of choice in what they did though.
It was kind of an obstacle course with a broomstick (and a witch). She could immolate though (burst into flames), while flying near buildings.
Why? How the hell would I know.

It somehow changed into a scene where Dumbledore and one of the students (might be Harry... fuzzy), were on the broomstick, trying to race through the obstacles in order to rescue something/someone.

It ended with them stopping, getting off, and relighting this.. wad... of stuff that needed to be on fire ?!?!?! FIIK...
Somehow this was important .. hehe
And two girls were standing nearby and came over to look and be impressed.

Very wierd.. :/

2 - Policemen and Taxes?
This dream was also a little broken up...
It starts were I'm peeking through an opening in a door, at someone talking about taxes, and about screwing their employees. I got the impression it was meant to be my boss, and I was an employee.

Anyway. It then cuts to another scene, where I'm driving on the road, and police stop me to check my tax ?!?! hehe
And we're not talking about one police car.. about 3 of them !

You'd think I had problems with tax right now, yeah? Nope.. once again, my tax is paid up. My tax returns are a bit behind, but the money's there.

Might have to do with my recent investigation into the tax implications of renting out a second house.

Ok.. I'm being a bad boy... didn't write down yesterday's dreams.
I had 3, but have have sort of forgotten 2 of them

1 - StarControl FingerBoard ??
My wife and me were playing star control on a board.. like a fingerboard... the ships could rotate and shoot somehow?? but you had to use your hands to do it all.
Very unusual... wasn't lucid at all

And ...forgot the other 2... :/

Tonight my recall was on overdrive! But my lucidity kept being interrupted
Some of these are amazing.. so I'll list them in order of 'coolness'

1 - Thin dream therapy.. wow..
I was in a very thin dream... almost to the point of creating it from scratch. I looked out onto the dream world, which is usually a street of houses in these cases. It was very fuzzy still.

So I remember to try a verbal command (For the first time). First I said 'LUCIDITY'... followed by 'CLARITY'.

And an AMAZING effect happened!!
Wherever the sound touched (travelling slowly), there was a green cracking lightning effect. Like you might imagine an EMP shockwave if you could visualise it.
Everywhere it touched, the dream stabilised a bit.
Very Very cool!

However the dream still wasn't good enough, so I tried something else.
I tried spinning, and something even wierder happened....
I HEARD a voice saying 'Ok.. spin around', and another replied 'You mean close eyes and feel the sensation of spinning?' and the other replied 'Yeah'.

It stunned me so much that it forced me awake in confusion...!!
I believe that was my subconscious and superconscious (or conscious ?) thoughts...

2 - Evil Superman (in sprawling Thief game)
No No.. it wasn't very lucid ...awww...
I was moving around in a Thief - type setting, except that the world was way more... 'layered'. eg. outside up and downstairs and roofs,etc

There was a vault with valuables, and I was breaking through walls to get to it. I was aware of my super powers, and that it was a dream.
However I was pretty fuzzy about it.. not *that* aware.

Somewhere along the line, people came after then, and one of them was a superman-like character. I noticed at this point that I was dressed like him, but in darker colours.

We battled a bit, throwing each other through walls...
Unfortunately thats as far as I remember

The most obvious question here is - if something attacked me, why didnt my natural dreamsign kick in?
I think the answer is that I wasn't scared of the guy. I knew he wasn't truly dangerous to me. No fear or anger = no dreamsign for me.

3 - Family revelations - Nightmare (unfortunately still not lucid ??!?!?!)
Ok.. heres another nightmare situation, but this time there was fear. But nothing attacking me. I think my dreamsign is on anger AND fear in one. That does confuse matters sometimes...

Anyway.. You need some background info here - My father is selling his house ATM (real life) and my grandmother originally paid for the foundations. Naturally she would be pissed. Thankfully I'm interested in buying the house!

Anyway.. this is the same setting / world as the previous dream. But I'm sitting around with my family. I look over at my grandmother and tell her that my father is selling his house. She goes into instant stroke and everyone looks at me in disgust and accusation.
So I run off, and I've split the next bit into another 'dream', although its linked.

4 - Sneaking around for a piss
I was wondering around, dealing with my guilt. And noticed I needed the toilet. Now this part bothers me greatly. I have a childhood dreamsign for this obviously... to prevent pissing in my bed (I wake up).
Anyway... to go on with the story....

I find myself in a bathroom, but theres a dog, on a leash thats guarding it?? The leash is attached to connecting strings on the floor.
I manage to get past the dog (found a spot where the strings dont reach)
And find some cubicles...now this gets wierd...
I find the toilet... but theres 2 people in the cubicle.. ?!??! And this didnt seem strange to me. So were are squeezing in there to fit at the same time. And manage to have a nice long piss.
And I'm still not lucid?!/!?!?1?!?! WTF?!??!

I only become lucid AFTER the piss, by which time it would have been too late. Unfortunately a jet from the nearby airport wakes me up.
These distractions happen all morning from here... including the neighbours being noisy.

5 - Shower/Bath Girl again
I think this was the first dream.. have the most difficulty recalling it.
But this is a recurring dream for me... second or third time now.
I'm in the bath, and the shower next to the bath as a naked girl in it.

This time there was some sort of curtain hiding her, and she wasn't in the shower yet.
I peeked under the curtain. Not bad

Sometime after this we find ourselves in the small bedroom... (this is the layout of my house, btw)... but nothing sexual happens.
My recall fails me here. Considering the number of dreams tonight, I'm not too cut up about it

6 - Boxed Carraway? And the other spices?
I was helping my wife preparing food in our kitchen (yes it was ours).
And I looked over at the spices.. I think I was getting something... and there were a whole bunch of spices that I've never seen before. I get suspicious and turn lucid.

At this EXACT bloody point... the neighbours start making a banging noise. And I wake up.
It seems like Im quite susceptible to distraction in my LD's

7 - Not another support issue !!
My boss in the UK phones me with another urgent support problem.
This time its complete bullshit, and it sparks my lucidity.
And something wakes me yet again.
Like I said.. seems like I'm very sensitive to this :/ !!!!
Annoying

Ok.. thats it Enough for one day.. or even 2 or 3.. hehe

Had a bit too much to drink last night... messed up my awareness...
Anyway, still recall one very long dream. But its really boring, so I'll keep it short.

1 - Baseball Little League
This was a movie dream, where I was watching this dude who was coach of a really rough, but young baseball team.
Like gang-related bunch of young kids who can't swing to save their lives.

Long story made short, there was lots of intrigue between the other team, they got new uniforms, coach had to deal with gang problems, etc etc
And the coach ended up wearing a pink mascot costume.

Personally, it was pretty boring as it was the same storyline of about 10 american movies Ive seen - all mixed up

I've been neglecting this journal, cos I've made a bit of a decision.
For the next while, I'm going to only post the interesting dreams, and the good lucid ones (not the fuzzy screwed up ones)

In addition, I'm going to tone down on this forum... its taking too much of my time.

The reasons? Because I've had LD's as my focus for the last few months - and its affecting other aspects of my life. I will continue to LD, and do this... just toned down (as said above)

And I want to concentrate on awareness for reasons above LDing - but in a way that will benefit LD's too.

In summary consider this thread's priority lowered

Had 3 dreams last night. One of them was interesting (an FA), and so darn close to being a great lucid... :/

1 - Extreme Quest + FA (Summary)
This was a movie dream (I was a camera in a documentary movie of sorts - but there was still a feeling of it being 'live')
There were a bunch of people, mostly women, in a quest to find some fire artifact.
In any event, I was following the one girl as she absailed into a tunnel, ran down the corridor backwards, against a grate to say hello to a lion behind the grate, and continued running backwards.
I had the impression that she knew the place... but I thought 'what if some nasty creature is waiting for her - she wouldn't see it until its too late'

Somewhere around here I had a FA!
I woke up... everything seemed sooo normal. This is the first really realistic FA I've had so far.
My wife was sitting on the edge of the bed, facing away from me.
I was telling her about my dream... and found myself assuming that she had shared it with me?!?
At this point.. my latest dreamsign kicked in and I questioned my thoughts... but still (stupidly) didnt do a RC.
So I just continued on, confused...

Of course, when I did wake up (for real), I wasn't too happy about it

Ok... I had about 2 LD's - both totally crap. Low level silly ones.
Getting a bit deprived.
Probably cos Im not writing a dream journal at all lately

I had one dream that was quite interesting .. I was actually chatting with a friend of mine on MSN
I knew I could read well, but that took it a step further

I've had 4 lucid dreams and one semi-lucid vivid dream in this time.
The 4 lucids were all because of a new technique of mine, that I'm still experimenting with...

The semi lucid one is quiet personal... but I'll share the 4 lucid ones.

8 August 2004 Dreams (Back dated)

My first vivid and realistic dreams in weeks!
In total I had at least 5 lucids and a couple more small dreams.
Unfortunately all the lucids were pretty short

1- Dripping Taps (Lucid)
I stand up and am lying on the floor. I'm wet, lying in warm water. So I stand up, and look at the bed, and my wife is hogging my side. Curled up nicely.
I first look at my cellphone and it says '4:47 FM'... and I'm like.. 'FM??' WTF?
I then suspect it's a dream.
I notice theres a tap next to the bed (in the wall), and is the cause of my wetness.
This is obviously also quite suspicious.

(BTW - there was a dripping tap in the bathroom, real world. Note - this might be a method of increasing my number of DILDs. RC on water, and leave dripping tap. Wife would kill me eventually though L)

I try looking at my hands, but in the dark, they're too fuzzy to make out anyway.
I walk to the bathroom, and switch on the light on the way past
I remember that light switches don't work so well in dreams, so I make sure that the light comes on.
I close my eyes as I walk into the bathroom (feeling tired)
I open my eyes to look into the mirror, and the light is off.
So I switch the light back on, and look at the mirror again.

I see myself with all my features - BUT... everything in the middle of my face is blurry. My nose, eyes, cheeks. All I see is ears, hair, mouth and my mole on my face. Very clearly, except for the blurry middle part.

I'm about to look at my hands, when my wife (in real life) kicks me in the bed. And I wake up!!!
Dammit. A bit confused here, because I also closed my eyes and said 'Im dreaming Im dreaming' and the next dream was an FA... Not sure exactly what that meant...

2 - Wife and her towel (Lucid)
I wake up, and stand up. Somehow my wife is already on my side of the bed, and wearing her favourite towel, wrapped around her. I'm already lucid at this point, perhaps because I did a sort of WILD... The towel is too big, so she tears off a piece of it.

And then my wife (in real life) kicks me in the bed. You know the rest. Dammit.
(She had a very restless night because of one particular arsehole neighbour)

3 - Bill Wanted? Could have fooled me... (Lucid)
I was walking down a road, under a overhead bridge. I somehow already knew it was a dream. I looked at a poster (multiples of it plastered onto the wall), with lots of words on it (to test my reading... I'm a good reader in dreams)

It has a picture of an actor... can't place his name. And the words say 'Wanted - Bill Clinton. For charges of murder and suicide'. I lose focus at this point, because of the humour/nonsense.

4 - Boksburg supermarket (Lucid)
I'm driving down a road in Boksburg, that barely remember.
Theres a supermarket (7 Eleven or Spar) on my right... and my wife or Someone? Tells me that we need to go into the supermarket.
So I find a turning to go in... and its at this point that I become lucid.
I.e. What the hell am I doing here in Boksburg. And I don't recognise this car...

I drive in... the car turns into a motorbike at some point, and my wife disappears/forgotten. I park it.
I remember whats on my To-Do list - but feel like having fun instead.
I walk towards the supermarket, and notice a nice 26-year old (more or less) brunette walk in.
I walk in after her (quickened steps), and find her inside with her mother.
I think 'I don't care! It's a dream anyway' and turn her around and start taking her clothes off. Nothing romantic.

She's completely cooperative, and doesn't seem to care much about foreplay.
I start doing my thing... and in the middle I focus on exactly how everything feels. In some sort of wrong way. 'Cos it wakes my mind up, and the dream ends!
Damn - It felt so good..

16 August 2004 Dreams

1 - Sloppy Wedding
I'm rushing to get to my own wedding at some church... not the same religion as me. I get there late, and my dad tells me to quickly get to the front.
The aisle is curved - there's something in the way that it curves around.
I go stand near the priest, and I notice that I'm wearing slip-slops, and that casual silk shirt my wife bought me long ago (incidentally the same sloppy shirt I DID get married in). Obviously I'm embarrassed.

The dream ends before I see her

2 - Dutch school
This dream actually is connected to the next one, but I'm splitting it because its so different.
It starts out that I'm walking up stairs into a balcony at the back of the school hall.
I'm in Matric apparently, and it's a Dutch school. And I can't speak Dutch.
We line up on the balcony and sit down without chairs ...
There's the odd electronic piece of junk littering the floor - like a ribbon cable, etc.

At some point we all leave the hall down the stairs, with kids pushing past.
I walk around the grounds and find myself at a spot where there's a kind of circular hold thing with a walkway across it. On it is some geeky kid.
So I go up to him and somehow sabotage what he's doing (cant recall how) and run for it.
As I'm running, the pipes to my right start bursting and spraying water
It's at this point that I become lucid (because of my water dreamsign)

3 - Big Green Dream Machine - Dream Guide? (Lucid)
The dream changes to something where I'm running from the authorities (of some sort)... possibly because of the burst pipe thing.
Out of the blue, this big green creature that looks like a swamp thing... starts helping me to escape.
I get the impression that he has some dream powers...

Anyways, during our escape, Kelly moves around in bed and wakes me.
But here comes the weird part... the green guy summons me back! Not sure how exactly?
And the dream continues??

We find ourselves in a boat going over a waterfall.
We wash up on the 'beach' at the bottom and the green critter asks me to go through the stuff in the boat, to rescue someone/something? A bit confused at this point... losing lucidity.
And the dream ends soon after going through the seaweed type stuff in the boat...

Dreams — 17 Aug 2004

(BTW - I had lucid dreams on 10 Aug that I didnt post... they're a bit personal anyway)

1 — Zak at the office? (Lucid)
I'm walking to Willie's office to ask him something about some work problems.
I look into the test lab, and he's not there, but in the old desk where Marcel used to sit — there's Zak! With 3 kids (of his?). The oldest girl (About 4 here) was really cute.

Immediately I become suspicious that its probably a dream. But Zak's on the phone and I want to see what he says anyway. Eventually I lose patience and walk off back to my desk so that I can try a few things on the PC (see what happens).
As I pass my project managers desk, I get jerked backwards. I look back, and I have a sling-bag thing that I was carrying (not that I noticed before) and the sling part is stuck under the desk.

At this point I'm pretty darn sure it's a dream anyway. 'Cos that couldn't really happen — and I don't use a bag like that.
So drop the bag and carry on walking to my desk. I pass Mike's desk and look at a poster with graphs on it (on his partition).
I look at my desk and think 'I already know I can read really well in dreams, and that I can chat over MSN in my dreams... lets try something else. Like flying'

I try to fly down the passage, but simply slow my fall. I reckon I need to get outside.
So I walk to the window — its one of those top hinged windows that swing open.
Hard to squeeze through. After some difficulty I step out onto the ledge.
The carport cover is not there (not that I notice at the time) and the ledge is higher than in reality. I jump and try to fly.

I ALMOST hit the ground, but at the last moment I say to myself that I'm very light... like a feather... and its easy to fly.
So I manage to climb again.
But not before Im about to hit a building. I easily ghost through it.

I look around and the area is very dirty and slummy.
Shacks, Junk piles, Dilapidated buildings.. etc

I spot an encampment of strange looking guys in robes. I recognise them as necromancers.
So I land there, and decide to challenge them, and develop a few magical skills.

I walk up to one of them and try to create chain lightning from my right hand.
All that happens is that lightning comes from my fingertips, but congeals into a sort of gem shape in my hand.
I touch the guy with the gem and he gets a mild shock.

He runs off to ask the more important guys whether he can attack me. I get a little worried, and imagine being surrounded by skeletons. (Imagination in a dream )
The other guys refuse, and I keep trying the lightning thing.

2 — FA and wife on toilet (Lucid for a few seconds)
At some point I have an FA.
I get up and my wife is on the toilet.
I start telling her that I had a flying dream. She says 'cool' and I say.. it was lucid too!
She then goes 'oops'. She pee-ed on the wall accidentally !?!?!
I immediately realise it was probably a dream... but start waking up.
I try to stay in the dream with verbal commands etc. In fact I come out of the dream and push my way back again. But it all fades again and I give up...

Hmm.. I need to start using this again
I switched to dreamjournal.org for a while (when the site went AWOL), and stopped the online DJ completely not long after that
And soon after, stopped all DJs completely

Guess I need to start getting back into it .. heh

1 - Holiday Dating Reality Show (Not Lucid)
I was watching the scene of some girl and guy that go on a plane overseas - on a sort of overseas date.
The guy is told to do things on the plane, that looks bad
At one point he eats some flowers

2 - Overloaded Ant
A poor little ant is being overloaded by someone - given bigger and bigger loads, until he cant walk
Don't remember much
Whats interesting here, is one of our hardware products is called an 'ANT' and recently I've had lots of support problems

3 - Animated Stickman Fight
I had a movie dream that is pretty much the same sort of thing as damascus' sig of the stick dude trying to break down the wall/door

I tried some WB2B and HILD w/ WILD
Didn't go too well though
I stayed up for 40 minutes (got stuck into a rubiks cube that took longer than usual due to my middle-of-night stupidity)
Then I went to sleep and my wife kept annoying me
Ended up counting to 500 (cos of distractions) before I lost concentration <img src="http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/cry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle"/>
If only I was single... (no no.. mustnt say that...)

1 - 'Stealing' Reality Show (Not Lucid)
I was on some sort of reality show where the point was to hold on to a particular object. The person holding the object at the end of the show wins. I got a card (like a think access card), and clung on to it like it was my life I kept it in my pocket and clung to my pocket like a barnacle.
Later a frizbee was added, and I failed on that one. Couldn't fit it in my pocket

2 - Golden retriever?? (Not Lucid)
I was sitting with my wife, chatting with someone. I wasn't paying any attention, but there was a golden retriever (dog) next to me.
At first it grossed me out, cos I could see white flecks of something down its spine.. eww...
But it got cute, and had a nice personality, and I couldn't resist playing with it.
The whole time the smell of dog was bothering me... (not that I smelt it... I just thought of the smell ?)

(I'm not that keen on dogs any more, so this dream is unusual)

3 - Rubik's cube (Not Lucid)
I vaguely remember playing with a rubik's cube in a dream. No suprise because thats what I did during the 40 minutes I was awake.
Might be able to use this as a dream sign?
Would be interesting to learn to solve a rubik's cube blindfolded (in real life), and then see if I can solve a rubik's cube realistically in a lucid dream...
(Blindfolded, so I learn to know where all the blocks move to, and where they are)

During this weekend, I didn't write down any dreams
I think I had about 5, but only remember 2 or 3

1 - Water skiing party (not lucid)
I was at the water skiing spot, and we (wife+me) became friends with one of the main guys there
He said he'll give us half price the next day, if we stay for the party that night

We did, and it was quite wierd. The part was on a slope, overlooking the lake. And the lines were lowered toward the lake
The wierdest bit is that each point along the lines had electronic boards up, and they were dangling in the water
The lake was quite rough too - a bit of wind

2 - Five Dangerous Techies (not lucid)
This was a movie dream that led off of another dream that I can't remember now.
The story is that 5 dangerous people obtained the latest technologies of the world, and threatened stability

I haven't written in here for a while... I'll try to recap on the last few dreams I remember

1 - Scotland/France &amp; Traffic Cops (not lucid)
I'm driving around with my wife, in a little town overseas somewhere. I had the impression it was Scotland, but it seemed more like France, in after-thought.
At almost every intersection, traffic cops kept giving me tickets for eg. no seat belt.
At one intersection I pleaded with the cop, and he sold me some tickets of some sort, to the value of half the amount on the ticket

2 - House to house as a traffic cop (semi-lucid)
I'm a traffic cop, in a bad part of town, with an old cop woman and younger woman with me. We're going door to door asking for the money for traffic tickets
It gets nasty here and there (no suprise)
The most vivid bit was this one dart board I passed, that had about 8 darts in it. I picked up one of the darts and threw it back again.
Very realistic effect....
I was semi lucid at this point - so annoying <img src="http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle"/>
(By semi lucid, I mean that I suspected it was a dream, but was too lazy and stupid to care)

Damn... what was that dream again?

AH .. yes.. thats it...

1 - Teaching Neurology (not lucid)
The family that my wife is au pairing for, was told that I knew a lot about the brain. So they asked me to teach their kids
The father knows a lot about it too

Anyway the dream takes place, around their big house, trying to explain neurology and having the father constantly correcting and taking over.
Somewhere before I started the lesson, I was around the mother as she was taking her top off around me.
I kept looking away (yep, definitely not lucid )

Why can't I get my lucids back again? dammit?!?!?

I haven't posted the last couple of dreams, because, basically, they were boring.
However... last night!!! Damn... 3 Dreams - all brilliant, and 2 lucid!
I haven't had a good lucid in quite a while..

1 - Fish-aways in the future (Not Lucid)
A wife and me, are walking along a gorgeous beach. We head for the restaurants and shops ahead of us, as we are meant to meet my father there.
We get there, and decide to order from Fish-Aways (take away).
So we go to the counter - and at this point my wife seems to have changed into a different friend (didnt really notice in the dream)
We order two meals and a dessert. The bill comes to R9000, and are told it must be cash.
My mouth drops, and the friend blinks a few times, and starts ranting about 'How the F**'
I argue about how its possible that I need to spend the bulk of my salary on a meal?

After lots of arguing with the till guy, it turns out that the lowest price meal is R500, and the average one is about R800
(As an indication, a McDonalds meal is about R20 in South Africa)
A girl comes over to sort out the commotion, and promises to look into lowering the prices

We walk away in confusion... and a memory comes back to me (a faked one) about being put under suspended animation, along with my wife (who is now the person with me again).
I suddenly realise that its about 5 years since we had been to a take away spot, and that the prices are probably reasonable

2 - Father + partner at house (Lucid at the end)
I'm at home, with my wife. My father and her screwed up woman are there for dinner.
(No, I'm not being nasty, this woman has hormone, drinking, allergy and past experiences of eg satanism, problems - she's honestly a living hell, and my father is a crazy nut to still be with her)

I discuss the previous dream to my father in vivid detail, and he finds it very amusing. He also reckons that the massive price increase isn't impossible in 5 years.

We have some little dogs around - dunno why this didnt make me lucid. Also, this house seems to be the one I'm still busy designing.
My wife and I go to one of the other rooms for some reason, and then we hear a commotion in the dining room.
So we run in there, and it's a raging argument about something silly (whether your hand gets 'bronzed' after some sort of surgery)

THIS makes me lucid... (finally)
And then the dream changes *grrr*
I was lucid here, for about 5 seconds

3 - River barge in the future (LUCID! About f-ing time)
I'm on the alert for a dream, from the previous one, but I start this one non-lucid again.
I wake up on a barge, and an important science person (forget who) wakes me.
He tries to tell me, that the beach dream was a simulation to get me used to the idea of being re-animated.
Then he tries to tell me that I'm Steven Hawkings...

*That* makes me lucid...lmao

I stand up, next to my supposed wife... and look out onto the river.
And I'm BLOWN AWAY! by the amount of complexity and detail. So the rest of my dream becomes a 'stunned, jaw dropped' lucid.
Along the river, are built up walkways and people waving at us. Flowers are all over the walls - different colours, but mostly yellow.
The colour of the river is a blue - light green colour, and the mild waves are so well done. My imagination seems great at water (I had a previous 'stunned' lucid about a lake)
Anyway, all the colours, and complexity, and beauty leave me speechless

While watching the scene, I'm also amazed at how my mind makes this stuff up spontaneously - I can feel the ideas flowing in, and becoming reality quicker than I thought possible...

And I woke up amazingly happy for once

Okay, I haven't been adding my dreams to this thread for a while... I'll try backtrack

I've had several dreams about a battle, involving martial arts, swords, quarterstaves and armies
One lucid, and one semi lucid.
However, in the lucid one, I wasted it because my memory of my goals was non-existent. I tried flying, and struggled at that too.

Last night I tried some mint tea, and it really seemed to alter the quality of my dreams, and recall.
Quite happy with it...

1 - Snake Pet
We were quite a way from my house, at a pet shop buying this little pet snake. (I was at a pet shop yesterday btw, which explains all this)
We left, and after playing with the little tike, he bit my thumb - badly
I tried getting the poison out, and the poison just kept coming. And it was jelly like... wierd

Deciding he was doo damn nasty, we took him back
I looked around the petshop, and noticed that all the other terrariums had dead, bloody corpses of pets
SO damn close to becoming lucid... my mind was ticking over about it

My subconscious intervened, and the pet store owner explained that they put one of their predatory pets in there by mistake
Be being pretty dense about it, I took it in without question

2 - WBTB False Awakening
I woke up, went to make some mint tea. I went to sit by the PC, and typed up some keywords of the previous dream
Anyway, when I woke up for real this morning, it all felt like deja vu typing it up again

3 - Mafia
I can't remember this dream much, but some dangerous men were around a table with me. And things were heated. thats it

1 - Programmed Nightmare (lucid - for a sec)
I was staying with the german family that I used to be around when at my father's place as a kid.
2 girls and one boy. The girls are older than the boy. Anyway..

We were in some sort of holiday spot, but it felt very freaky, and we were on edge.
We set up beds and I remember getting into trouble for walking in on the parents just as they were thinking of doing the deed
Obviously they crapped on my head and told me to knock
Most of this was pretty darn vivid. I attribute this to the mint stuff I've been playing with - the smell really helps my dreams.

At some point, the mother walked off to investigate a noise or disturbance of some kind
She didn't come back for a while, so we went to go find her
I remember that I only had a T-shirt on, but said - bugger it, dont have time (I mean DAMN.. theres always time for pants...)

We walked into one of the rooms, and it had a portal on it, with some white lettering on it.
After some hesitation, we all went through it

I teleport onto a long beach, with a line of trees along it. We walk through the trees on the the path on the other side, looking around.
Everything was pretty vivid, and realistic.

After some time walking, I notice a movement to my right (away from the beach side), and find a kodiac bear munching on something by a dead tree. It sees me and .. whoooah.. he's after me.
As it rears up, I realise its a nightmare, and become lucid (quite a common dreamsign for me)
I change the dream so that the bear is to my left, and comes down out of danger

But as I do that - the dream changes, and suddenly it becomes a bunch of credits scrolling down
It says that the dream was CREATED by Alegiojon (one of the guys I know from ppsociety.com) and then lists the other dreams he's created
The purpose of the dream is to cause a similar nightmare situation, in order to cause and test a person's lucid dreaming ability

Seems to me that it was just another trick of my subconscious to cut my lucidity short <img src="http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/cry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle"/>
