Rainforests, Trains and Fish Tanks! (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

NOTE: This an old dream I had, and it was NOT on the 12th of November 2009!

Fragment 1:

I recall standing next to this pond at daytime. I was walking on the wet, dark green grass under my feet. The pond was mirky and looked deep. Around me were these huge, tall gum trees that were almost like skyscrapers. (Where I live there are plenty of gum trees like this).

The rainforest looked dark. I started walking on this trail that was just a few meters away from the pond. On the other side of it, there are short wood buildings/fortresses like the ones you would find in an (probably old) childrens playground. They were bolted together and painted green.

Fragment 2:

I'm standing next to a train line on a road that went uphill. It wasn't that steep. As soon as I start going up the slope this train starts coming towards me. It's glowing and it is painted in yellow and purple. I just get away in time and it passes me and stops next to another gum tree.

Fragment 3:

This is my favorite part of the dream. I'm in some sort of aquarium and there are 3 tanks with coral in them. I see purple shining clams. That's what caught my eye.

But then I wake up.

That is pretty awesome.

BTW: Looks like that is Definantly a MILD, if not a WILD. A mild, IMO is just reminding yourself to become lucid when you dream, instead of having it become random like a DILD.

Now you mention it, I wonder why I chose that name. Then again, it was late at night. *changes name*

A WILD requires you to wake up just after the REM cycle and go back to sleep again while conscious, IIRC. So I don't think it was.

But if it is a MILD, then I'm very pleased with that! PARTY TIME!!!!

I see no reason, that if you are to wait at half sleep for ages, that you can't catch a REM cycle.

That must be the mistake I'm making. Trying to straight wild and Mild at the same time...

You just can't WILD without the REM cycle. I know that i get occasional "visualisation" spikes where i can immerse easier... but these are temporary.

I'll try a WILD soon. I'm going to a friends party tonight.

Yeah I think you need to still be in a REM state when you wake up to do a WILD. Same applies with DEILD. (Dream Exit Induced Lucid Dream)

If you look around the forms there'll be a tutorials section here on WILD and methods like that. (WBTB, DEILD, etc.)

Dream 1: That Bloody EAS! (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm walking down the side of a road that looks very similar to the one near my house. It was in one of my other dreams but I can't remember which one. Anyway, a bus that was used in one in the old bus transport fleet in RL. There was no paint on it, but it stopped where I was. I got on and someone asked me if I wanted to join some membership which I accepted. It basically allows you to travel anywhere you want in a bus without paying.

Just down the hill there is a bus stop only a few meters away from my house. The bus stops there and I get off.

The scene changes suddenly. I'm now in my lounge room, and it's night time. I didn't even have to walk to my house.

I'm watching T.V and there was a show on about the lottery. Just near the end of it the sound mutes, and this LOUD siren can be heard! It was similar to an air-raid siren, but it was more like a QBasic imitation of one I made on my old laptop (which has a corrupted file system).

Then on the television the picture becomes distorted. Right now I'm thinking "WTF is going on?!". And then, the pictures turn into an EAS transmission! (If you don't know what that is, google 'Emergency Alert System'. It's an American warning system on the T.V)

The background was colored peach with white text. I remembered some of the warnings it showed. The screen updated every few seconds. Some of the messages:

A bomb has been detected at the SBS transmission station.

This station will now cease transmission and will blow up if you are not asleep in 26 minutes
---

The dream ends and I wake up with f***ing heart pain. I don't know why but that thing just makes me want to shoot myself whenever I hear it!

Dream 2: Another Weird Dream (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I have an FA of which I don't become lucid, and I fall asleep again, into another dream! I forgot the beginning and middle parts of it, so I'll put the ending here and hopefully I'll remember. Last night I was really pissed off for some reason I can't remember so I wasn't in the mood for trying to LD which involves remembering your dreams.

I'm in a 4WD with some of my family, and I recall one of them not sitting down inside it, but instead under the car holding onto the frame of it right near the gas tank! This worries me for two reasons:

1. If his hands slip, he's dead.
2. If the gas tank explodes in the boiling heat, he's also dead.
3. The gas tank might not explode, but could vent and produce a jet flame. Yes, I'm that paranoid of gas tanks. Especially when you have days that are 41*C and Sunny.

I see some trees up ahead on the side of the road which give shade on the road which relieves me a bit. After a while I forget about the heat.

Again the scene changes. I'm running towards a huge road intersection where there are rail lines going in every direction! One of the barriers are coming down on a level crossing and the normal road lights are going red. When I get there it goes back to yellow and then green and then yellow and back to red once I pass it. Across the intersection the road ends and the rail lines form a 4 track mainline, which then becomes 2 tracks.

I come to this hill where the track goes straight into it. (Now that I'm awake, I'm sure I saw it in another dream) Realizing that a train is probably coming down the hill at that intersection, I walk to the side of the mainline and off the tracks where there is another hill to climb. I go up it and wake up.

"This station will now cease transmission and will blow up if you are not asleep in 26 minutes"

Bwhahahahaaaa!

Interesting. I liked it. It would scare the shit out of me though If ever I saw it.

I know, I hate it but also think it's a good idea. It sure would get peoples attention though in the event of an emergency.

Here goes the Ozone layer! (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I remember walking up the hill somewhere that represented a suburb near where I live. On the right side of the road there were gum trees and houses with driveways made with pebbles. The pebbles were green with mould on them and it was very dark because of the trees. (It was day time by the way)

On the other side of the road, there were farms, with light yellow/orange straw and hay. There we almost no trees.

I could feel my legs getting weaker with each step as I walked up the road that went up a hill (How many times do you hear that? lol).

Suddenly a family member appears out of nowhere. And then I come to this level crossing with one track. I know there's a train coming and then the lights start flashing and the bell rings. (In RL, these bells scare the hell out of me for some reason. The UK tones are no better!) I stand back from the track. And then I see a train coming. It's a switcher and it's attached to a few passenger cars. When it's crossed, the lights stop and I continue walking up the hill.

And then I remember this was in one of my other dreams I had, but my feeble mind doesn't pick it up as a dream sign! Another chance to become lucid is missed. So I come to ANOTHER level crossing that's activated, and the same train is crossing it, only going to the other side. (The track is going in a loop with no stations). But there's thick gray smoke coming from the side of it. I cover my nose with my hands and when it passes me, I'm choked by it. I wake up.

That's cool! I never got suffocated by smoke or physically exhausted in a dream before!

I say you and I form a paired adoption to help each other sort of thing.

Sure? I'm still very new to this and rarely can I tell the difference if I actually controlled it or just dreamed of lucid dreaming.

Gases and Splinters (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Fragment 1:

The scene is an old house from the Mushroom Cloud dream (go back a page to see it), but this time there are 4 bottles. Each one of them has gas inside them. Someone told me that two of those bottles with gas had radioactive waste inside them so if I breathed the gas I would get some sort of cancer/sickness. (I remember seeing the news the other day that Australia might start using nuclear power and god, that would give me nightmares if it happened)

Fragment 2:

All I remember is been in a creek similar to one in real life.

Fragment 3:

I remember been in the bath because I had a splinter in my finger.So I after I get out and get my clothes on, I attempt to push it out. It makes a popping noise as it comes out of my finger and I can see this really long skewer come out.

I wake up feeling numb because of this.

'Electric' Dream (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I remember holding someones hand and swimming in a lake, trying to get away from something. The sun was really bright and beaming down on the lake so I couldn't open my eyes at all. Eventually after kicking and splashing in the water I managed to get to where I wanted to. I got out of the water, but I wasn't soaking wet.

I walk around the murky lake where around it there is red sand. I come to a bridge made out of concrete with a hole at the bottom that allows water to flow through.

I walk past, and eventually I see the chicken pen, but they have all gone somewhere.

I get on top of the coop and look out. Everywhere I look, there are electric transmission lines like this:






I get down from the coop, and when I turn my head to the left, I see one right next to me! Except one of the wires is going down into the other coop, which also has a counter on top to show the voltage of the wires.

Suddenly, I'm drifting towards it. I panic (these things scare me) and try to quickly get away from it and succeed.

The dream ends and I wake up.

Fire (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Sorry for the lack of recent posts! Lately I have been going out in the morning, so I don't get a chance to keep a dream journal, but I might start taking notes now and write them down as soon as I wake up so I can remember them.

I'm getting in the car, and I sit down in the front seat. Someone else I know from real life gets into the drivers seat and reverses it out of the driveway. But when he stops and turns off the engine, smoke starts coming out of the middle panel.

He tells me that it's the brake fluid getting really low and goes out, but I stay in. I start to feel weak all over my bodyand the smoke stops. (yet another dream sign missed! (loss of self control in a certain situation))

But then there is more smoke. This time, it's coming from the cover that protects the plastic near the front window. It starts with a trail of smoke like the last fire, but becomes worse. I realize that the sun is beaming down on it, causing it to heat up and smoke, and that it's only going to get worse. But I can't move at all, I've lost all control of myself, and I feel numb.

The dream ends here.

A Night in the Australian Summer (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I think I may have forgot some of the beginning, but I can remember been in a hotel room. The walls were painted light peach/cream, and there was a lounge suite with flowers, and a green colored bed.

I'm sitting on that bed, while someone I know and his two daughters are sitting on the lounge. She gets up and lies down in the bed to sleep, and I do the same thing. But when I look up, I see a dome camera in front of me:







I touch it, and it becomes white and the edges are rough.

I go out of the room, and into the corridor of the hotel. I push a random door open and go into another room, where the person who just went to sleep is there lieing in the bed!

I hear someone talking about a new security system because of a recent murder.

Then it happens. I see the door open and the room light switches off. When the person who opened the door turns on the light, it flickers as the girl goes under the blankets. The 'murderer'/theif sees that nobody is there and leaves.

The dream ends.
And yes, I waited 11 days to post this.

Swimming (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I'm going to get motivated to LD again. To start, I'm working on my dream recall and reality checks. Unfortunately what demotivated me was getting a nose bleed twice by doing the nose pinch RC. Anyway, here's what I could remember from last night.

I'm in the back of the car looking out the window, thinking 'Hey, this scenery looks familiar'. I didn't realize that this was the same place I had seen in another recent dream. It looked something like this:






Except there was more open space, the road had two lanes and there was a fair distance between the road and the hill.

Now I am in a swimming pool, holding on to the sides, and there is someone who I haven't seen in a long time swimming as well. She is holding a stick which I try to grab, but she pulls it away from me.

Lucid Dream: Roman Numerals (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

The starting place for today is in a toilet, where I'm looking at this computer that hangs from the side wall. There is a message on the screen saying "Is that you?". Then something clicks in my mind. I ask myself 'Am I dreaming?'. I do a reality check by forcing my finger through my palm, which passes (it doesn't go through). So I pinch my nose (not too hard, because the last time I did this RC, it gave me a nose bleed) and tried to breathe. It fails. I realize that I am dreaming.

I rush downstairs and look around, and I see a clock on the wall that had roman numerals. (I use this to check if I'm dreaming in real life) The number '9' is wrong, and the table that used to be in that room is missing. I do another nose pinch RC and I can still breathe through it.

The scene changes and I lose all lucidity. Here, I'm setting up some kind of obstacle course and which I have to get through first to win. There are these rubber bands that you need to cut with your hand. So I try to get through the course, but when I get to the rubber bands, I worry that it might hurt my hand, so I don't do it.

Scene changes again. I'm getting into some plastic sphere. When I get into it, I realize I'm trapped. There's no way out, and thanks to my my body size, I can't even get out the way I got in. Someone walks by and sees my trapped, and tries to throw a rock at the window to break it. It doesn't work, so I yell out that it's plastic and won't shatter like glass.

The dream ends.

Hesitantly Updating My Dream Journal (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

The dream starts off with me walking on the side of a road, where on my left side is a wire fence and bare land that goes for miles. I see Jordan walking next to me, and we start talking to each other. I see a road sign saying that there’s a town ahead. I ask her if she can pronounce it (it was something Aboriginal) and she doesn’t reply.

I turn around, but don't notice that her face has changed and looks like someone else I know. We keep walking along this road and there is another road going down a very steep hill. We walk down it and see what represented a small cliff I saw in RL. I say "This place looks familiar". She doesn't say anything.
